Iron Banner Drops. False.
Our primary way of getting gear is now meant to be drops.
I am currently rank four Iron Banner. I have had two drops. One sidearm and one class item. Being rank four, I can buy three items. So surely my primary way of getting gear would be purchasing? I can't really see how this new system is working. In previous Iron Banner events I have many times received more than three items by rank 4.
Is is just me? Is RNGesus not loving me, or is this the case for others? I don't think others are doing so well either as I think I've only seen ~10 drops total.
Your thoughts/experiences please.
Edit: I don't want to be one of those "ZOMG all these replies" guys. I just want to thank all that have replied for reaffirming my original thoughts. I tried to reply to all but it's now 2am and I've got to get some sleep. Also, thanks for all of the positive replies, can't recall seeing any trolls. Community ftw.

That sucks had the class item boots and side arm drop. Funny thing is they all dropped as soon as I was bout to give up and throw my controller through my friends head.

First the drop system Is shat, the light system is even worse but I'm 250points of level 5 and so far I have gotten Level 2 - loin cloth Level 3 - 2 x boots Level 4 (400 from 5) the pulse rifle Sod all light 295 or higher. So yeah, it's shit

I have a theory. The previous iron banner gave us 2 weapons as drops, no armor. By adding additional items to the loot table it increases our odds. So now we can get 4 different items instead of 2. That's the increase. Nothing else. That's why we have been especially disappointed with this IB. Plus, sidearm and boots aren't exactly the items we want most (shotguns and helmets more than likely)

6 RepliesOh no. Stuff really drops in IB. Don't believe me? Why, my team lost and two under-280 players, who were in last & 2nd-to-last place, got 295 boots and 293 sidearms. So yeah, just lower your light-level and be the worst player on the team and you're golden.

2 RepliesI'm at rank 3 3/4 and I've gotten the class item at 282 boots at 284 a blue machine gun at 299 I used to infuse my ruin wake, and the ship Birth of History. Looking forward to getting that pulse rifle!

1 piece of armour for each iron banner. 1 iron banner per month. Thats 4 months until we get the helm. Worth the wait, -blam!- no. -blam!- bungie. Time locking gear as usual.

Rank 5, 3 legendary engrame drops. Zero iron banner drops for me, had to purchase what I wanted. I've seen 2 class items drop. One side arm and two boots. By this stage in other iron banners, I'd have had 3 or more weapon drops. The drop rate has definitely not increased.
