Iron Banner Drops. False.
Our primary way of getting gear is now meant to be drops.
I am currently rank four Iron Banner. I have had two drops. One sidearm and one class item. Being rank four, I can buy three items. So surely my primary way of getting gear would be purchasing? I can't really see how this new system is working. In previous Iron Banner events I have many times received more than three items by rank 4.
Is is just me? Is RNGesus not loving me, or is this the case for others? I don't think others are doing so well either as I think I've only seen ~10 drops total.
Your thoughts/experiences please.
Edit: I don't want to be one of those "ZOMG all these replies" guys. I just want to thank all that have replied for reaffirming my original thoughts. I tried to reply to all but it's now 2am and I've got to get some sleep. Also, thanks for all of the positive replies, can't recall seeing any trolls. Community ftw.

The WORST Iron Banner ever. Made it to rank 5 Friday. Revived only 1 drop. The boots. Light Lvl 281. Quit playing. Not ranking up any of my other characters.

I think only the pulse, side arm, boots, and ship are in the loot table.

Ive had a pair of boots drop for my titan im rank 4.just curious anyone have any gear drop that isnt currently buy able from lord salade?

I've seen the Boots, pulse and mark drop for people, My personal drops have just been the sidearm, and i bought the mark.

I've just been jumping on each character to get bounties done and I'm at rank 3, 3, and 4. I've had two drops total. Titan - Sidearm, Warlock - Bond. Now I've probably only played around 35-40 rounds total so the drop rate seems to be like 5% in my case. Don't know if this is everyone's experience or just mine.

1 cloak and 1 side arm the rest are just blues, motes and coins If including other players reward I have only seen less 20 IB stuff drop.

Other than ships and class items I saw one pulse rifle drop, that's it. Rank 5 since yesterday

Yeah I don't think it's working quite the way they thought it was going to. Might have to do with that drops unlock at different levels bullshit

Rank 5 and I got 2 drops. 1 Class item, but I had already bought Saladin's one before it dropped, so I just infused it straight away. 1 Pair of Boots, higher light but worse perks than Saladin's, so I still ended up buying them and then infusing the drop ones into them. The Pulse Rifle is pretty great though so I think it was worth the grind to get that. But yeah the loot drops are hardly the primary means. In fact I think loot used to drop more often in Year 1 Iron Banner, back when it was just a nice bonus.

Honestly, the older iron banners had better loot drops. I think they needed the drop rate instead of buffing it.

I am about to hit rank 4... And through all the games (just about every single godamn one on a losing team because [i]Matchmaking[/i] is a godamn joke) I have seen literally [u][i][b]ONE[/b][/i][/u] piece of Iron Banner gear drop for someone. ONE. Ever! I cannot be the only guy above rank 2... and this is the drop rate? Or is it significantly even less for the losing team? Because if so, according to Bungies shitty matchmaking, I will Never see a single drop before the IB ends.
