Wtf Bungie. Why did I get banned?
Woke up this morning to do my iron banner bounties and find a ban. I've never cheated nor do I even know how to cheat. Just paid extra 60 a month for faster internet so I could do better at pvp. You can clearly look at my crappy stats and tell I'm not cheating. This is complete bs. Just remember before you report someone look at there connection and report prop. The only thing I can think of would be a connection problem but running between 8 and 10 now. Why bungie? Not fair to people that are honest and get screwed.
Edit: First of all I never used a glitch of any kind. My hunter doesn't even have shadow shot unlocked and I main a Titan. Secondly I ran my striker class and not the new solar class. Some people are quick to judge and you know who you are. Thank you to the people that are taking up for me and understanding the crappy situation. I just don't think it's fair to ban someone that's never cheated (pretty obvious when you look at any of my history in pvp). Is there anything else I can do to get faster internet with what is available in my area? Paying close to 130 a month since I just upgraded to the gaming package. Overall just pissed about bungies decision because it's uncalled for in this case.
Edit 2: Thanks for all the positive comments and advise on how to handle this situation. Sounds like I'm heading to wal mart or best buy to buy a cable to plug directly into my ps4. Im also guessing I need a better router. Is there a certain router I need to look for? The only other thing I know to do is if I see myself red barring I'll stop playing until the connection gets better to avoid another temp ban or permanent ban from pvp side of the game. Thanks guardians.

2 RepliesEdited by GalaxySpider: 10/15/2015 8:48:09 PMYeah, the game punishes you when you play with someone from the other side of the world because of its shitty P2P networking model AND shitty netcode (Halo2, 3, Reach were all P2P as well and never laged as bad as Destiny). Bungie should work on their netcode first before banning people. While I really enjoy PVP I get red bars sometimes too and then I get delays like crazy (but not to my advantage). For a new modern MMO type game from 2014 this is unacceptable and beyond me how something like that could slip trough playtesting.

If you constantly have a red bar connection either legit or due to cheating you're getting a suspension from cruicible during events like Iron banner and Trials. Sucks but I appreciate it. Tried of playing games with 2 to 3 people red bar'ing jumping around and not taking damage.

2 RepliesIt sounds like you were one of those people negative red barring. If you were you often got reported in destiny I don't think you were banned for cheating probably only bad net. Me personally I report all those who red bar makes the game so annoying. I choose to believe you when you say you weren't cheating if bungie caught you cheating or tampering you would probably have been perma banned in which case you wouldn't have been able to even log onto your toon so goodluck with all that

They want to make sure they get it right. Its pretty obvious you have cheated in some way or you would not be banned right now. For all we know your shitty stats may be what drove you over the edge to start cheating to begin with. :)

Having alot of download/upload traffic on your connection WHILE online gaming does make u lag. Thats why people get banned, they check records and even live play to see if its exploited and if so then they ban. They check if u have the same traffic while for example being online in a strike if u dont and u do in pvp then yeah bummer u got caught. If u play with fire expect to get burned. But seriously, having a slow internet connection isnt an excuse Also no one gets banned because they got reported. Someone gets flagged and the team goes looking into it and ban if the reports are valid.
