Sad to go, but Bungie forced us out.
As much as all you fanboys will argue, there is no denying that this game is going to become a pay to win franchise. Don't believe me? Google "Bobby Kotick" and just read about some of his business practices.
As much as I love Destiny, I will be hanging up my cloak for good once Halo 5 and Star Wars Battlefront releases. Destiny will always hold a special place in my heart, but I will not give in to Bungievision's cash-grabbing scheme.
I do not understand how they think nerfing everything in the game, i.e.- Strange Coins, Motes, Weapon Parts, etc.., is going to make people want to play this game more.
It truly boggles my mind.
But, like I said, I love Destiny, I've had many fun hours in this game, but the road has come to an end.

Edit - It's amazing the number of people who can't read. I stated that WHEN Halo 5 and Battlefront drops, that's when I will stop playing Destiny.

I'm not talking about the obvious team based activities such as raids and strikes. The current problem is that pretty much every exotic quest line has atleast one step where a fireteam is required - or at the very least really helpful, unless you want it to turn into a really annoying grind. The other problem is how utterly pointless it is to queue up for PvP solo. I've never come across a game where the matches are more lopsided. To make things worst, Bungie used to have the best matchmaking systems on the market in Halo 2 and Halo 3. It's so bad that I actually started to take notes. The biggest problem, across 100 games, in the previous iron banner was the lag. It was noticeable in one way or another in every match. This IB - 20 games in - I've played against 5 to 6-man premades in 18 matches, while being on a team where the biggest group consisted of 2 players, and I've had to backfill 16 of these matches. Matches where my team was so far behind that there was no point in even trying to turn it around. Both IB and some of the exotic bounties rely on somewhat balanced games, where you actually have a chance at doing the task you've been given, games where you have enough time to execute the task (meaning it wont work when you always backfill) and for IB specifically wins. Hence, it's the most halfassed work I've ever come across and if a company out in the ream world had showed this negligence towards a big part of its customers it would be all over the news. It seems to be ok here though. because "it's just a game".

I love destiny. It has kept my attention for so long.... but seeing how raid sometimes doesn't drop anything.... the nightfall having crappy rewards over and over... and now the weekly pvp having also crappy stuff... it makes no sense to play for a retard reward....

The part I don't understand is you say you are leaving because of what you believe it will become? Why not stick with it until that happens you can still enjoy it till then plus it may not even happen in the first place.

I can't agree with everything you said, however the fact that they needed the strange coins drop rate is bull shit. Ever wonder why they released 3 of coins? Week one of TTK release everybody spent the majority of their strange coins on 3oC. An exploit is found and taken advantage of, only to receive subpar duplicate exotics. Then, Xir started selling less items. Now, we can't get strange coins like we used too. Sounds like Bungie is trying plug the players who have a ton of strange coins. Strange coins that were earned on the grind.

Completely agree! I want a goddamn hooking story. But this game is a respective grind fest just to say you have a better trophy. Multiplayer is the same and no rewards. PVE is repetitive (has been from the start) this game doesn't match anything to halo. Super stoked for halo 5, fallout 4 and a real multiplayer game like battlefront

so you need another game to release before you deem it justifiable to have this sort of opinion and be hypocritical 2? since 2013 they have address their dislike of the idea of paying2win in their game. Although they may leave it open to subject to change, it doesnt mean they will. I own and run a business of my own and the thing we as consumers need to understand that the only reason they wont promise to make this game a non-pay2win game, is bcause they do in fact need to leave that option open. They have over 500 employees they are trying to keep employed, the big games that are comparable to destiny and its fanbase have the pay2win advantage and its what they must allow in order to keep their lively hood in this market afloat. They have time and again expressed their disagreement with pay2win capitalism, even today luke smith said they have no plans to let pay2win effect their game.
