As much as all you fanboys will argue, there is no denying that this game is going to become a pay to win franchise. Don't believe me? Google "Bobby Kotick" and just read about some of his business practices.
As much as I love Destiny, I will be hanging up my cloak for good once Halo 5 and Star Wars Battlefront releases. Destiny will always hold a special place in my heart, but I will not give in to Bungievision's cash-grabbing scheme.
I do not understand how they think nerfing everything in the game, i.e.- Strange Coins, Motes, Weapon Parts, etc.., is going to make people want to play this game more.
It truly boggles my mind.
But, like I said, I love Destiny, I've had many fun hours in this game, but the road has come to an end.
Farewell, Guardians.
- Gary Busey
Edit - It's amazing the number of people who can't read. I stated that WHEN Halo 5 and Battlefront drops, that's when I will stop playing Destiny.

Halo is coming :D

Didn't know you could be "forced out" of a game you (or your parents) brought with free will for you. Nobody forced you out, just as nobody forced you to play. Stop being a drama queen.
-
Getting my Halo 5 LE Console next week, might be saying goodbye to destiny as well. It's like every week there is some exploit that ends up ruining PVP.
-
You're not leavinh
-
1 ReplyThat's so Raven... man must be good to be able to see the future. Goodbye.
-
They forced you out....... You're kidding me.
-
can anyone tell me what these pay2win aspects will be? if its means maxing subclasses for a price i couldnt give two shits - how petty do you have to be to care about that? if it means enabling you to buy experience to lvl your guns and gear then what the -blam!- are these people doing playing destiny? my fun is found actually playing the game and playing to find engrams etc i couldnt care less if some moron paid actual money to boost his experience instead of actually playing the game also, the term 'pay to win' doesnt apply with destiny - i dont care how further ahead experience-wise any other player is by using real money - it wont stop me enjoying my grind towards completing raids and other content
-
Not the cloak :(
-
I agree with you except Destiny isn't pay to win yet. There are rumours glass needles and strange coins may start coming from Eververse but they are completely unconfirmed. As though as it is after collecting all year 1 exotics and raid weapons (not PoE), I may leave soon with Destiny current system. The game has served me well and given me more hours than I every expected.

Lol!! Busey rocks
-
Lol at the irony. Have you looked at what they stripped from Battlefront that made it a great game years ago. Do you really think Dice has a better track record than bungie?
-
I'm heading there myself, with fallout 4/coming I don't know of I'll ever see the light of say again
-
I get strange coins all the time! Sitting on 750!
-
-
Shut up Meg
-
Bye Felicia.
-
I'll be joining you after KF hard mode. Already only doing the weekly X3 and NF right now anyway.
-
TLDR: op can predict the future.
-
So you'll stop playing for other games and not because of something that so far hasn't happened?
-
Waiiiit a second....... You're not the real Gary Busey! You're a phony! A big fat Phony! P.S, your opinion is bad and you should have your monthly subscription of "Guns & Gals" changed to "how to maintain my vagina". I hear get a bonus subscription to "Tampons: when not to use them".
-
I actually had the same idea if Bungie keep F'ing things up. I've never seen a game which can create so much rage, hatred and frustration, is this actually the game of the year that we used to look forward to in the past?
-
We all have the right to be skeptic, but unless you work for Activision you can't say that you know it will become pay to win. I won't tell someone how to spend their free time, but if you are quitting then that is all you. You can't blame Activision or Bungie for something you think they will do.

2 RepliesWhilst I share some concerns about how the industry on the whole is moving towards this "freemium" sales model, its not just Destiny, I do have a much more forgiving attitude if its handled properly. Bungie have yet to break the game for me so I am happy to wait and see just where things go. My main question to you would be, if it is the appearance of micro-transactions that is making you jump ship why go to Halo5 which also has them including weapon packs? Don't get me wrong I think Halo looks great and I will be picking it up too but it won't stop my playing Destiny as well.
-
I might leave soon
-
Stop acting like someone's crushing your life goals. It's a game. Why wait? Leave now.
