To anyone say they'd rather have sniper over ToM in the raid
Pull out your sniper. Empty the clip. You now have to reload.
Pull out ToM. Empty the clip. You don't have to reload. & you get double damage. & it's fully automatic.
Even if you're doin 20k+ a crit with your sniper, ToM is doing 5k+ a crit every shot without stopping.
Use your brain on this one guys.

Our group has a cele nighthawk user. One of those and a couple shots usually staggers him within a second. Everyone else is free to use whatever loadout. The cele guy even uses invective to finish off ogres. Works pretty good. Ogres die fast and nearly instant stagger.

War priest = both good Golgoroth = prefer sniper, but ToM is good too Sisters = ToM Oryx = ToM As you can tell, touch of malice is the first raid exotic to be useful in a raid (when is the last time you use vex mythoclast in vog?)

3 RepliesToM is clearly the winner on this and the daughters fight. even golgoroth if youre smart and like taking risks. I bring my sniper on oryx still just to nuke the ogres since i do the adds in the middle

Agree with you 100 percent ! Idk if people have tried using this gun on strikes and night falls and use a Titan with blessings its Amazing. The dps is great and you never run out of bullets!

ToM is very situational but useful in its case. However there are times when In the heat of the moment you don't pay attention to your health and the bullets can kill you. To the reckless player a sniper is probably better. To the reserved player, sure, the touch is better.

It honestly doesn't matter what you use, you point, click, damage. It should always be enough.

Heavy. Then switch to sniper without reloading. Then switch to ToM without reloading. Finish phase. Kill adds. Repeat.

Oryx and death singers yes, everything else no thanks. I'm our teams relic runner in the oryx fight so I prefer raze lighter based on the fact it two shots the vessel of oryx which means my guys don't have to worry about it

What about this! Raid sniper + ToM = amazing -Empty sniper clip -switch to ToM for a bit -switch back to sniper (now reloaded due to cocoon) -repeat

Just to add to the discussion. Nothing beats Malice during the sisters. But the gun is not really needed during Oryx as long as your team can stagger. This isn’t hard now that we’re past the first week. Touch is still amazing, but not necessary unless you‘re carrying 3-4 other guardians with low level snipers (or no snipers). Oryx will get staggered within 3-4 seconds and therefore you don’t actually take advantage of the “no-reload” perk. I use the Raid sniper and with a solid group he gets staggered during my 3rd-4th shot. In this fight I actually find playing with the Malice an unnecessary risk because you’ll still have to DPS the Orges and the Echo (where you don’t regen). Doesn’t matter much because you’re probably using snipers or heavy for both of those situations. But if you forget during the heat of the battle you can easily kill yourself. Just unnecessary in my opinion. If you’re the jumper then I recommend an exotic sword instead of the primary anyway. Best way to solo the vessel so your team is ready for the stagger.

Hopefully the agnorach rune is fixed so I can get one now, but just remember "you have to have (insert op rocket launcher here) to raid with my group type posts is mainly what got it nerfed in the first place. The raid can easily be completed without spindle or malice, although they are nice to have.
