To anyone say they'd rather have sniper over ToM in the raid
Pull out your sniper. Empty the clip. You now have to reload.
Pull out ToM. Empty the clip. You don't have to reload. & you get double damage. & it's fully automatic.
Even if you're doin 20k+ a crit with your sniper, ToM is doing 5k+ a crit every shot without stopping.
Use your brain on this one guys.

I can't wait for my next raid run now that I have ToM, especially the Sisters and Oryx. It was so hard to keep ammo in my Stillpiercer (my best DPS weapon for the fight until now) and as a 297 I had to use it on everything, Ogres, shade, and oryx, if I wanted to do any damage at all (ran sword as my heavy to handle Vessel killing duty for my squad). Now I can run ToM and not worry so much about running out of sniper ammo every minute.

I dislike ToM and only use it for daughters and oryx. I hate the look, and the fapping sound it makes when you shoot it.

uh... destiny guns are very situational.. ill beat your ass in dps with a blackspindle on golgoroth... but ill beat your ass in dps on the daughters with ToM. try to understand mechanics and how they can be effective with the guns you use before you just spout out something as stupid as "To anyone who would rather have a sniper than ToM in the raid"

3 RepliesIt's called DPS. damage per second. What happens when your clip is empty and so is you health bar? Compare real numbers and come back to us.

Touch of Malice is the be-all end-all for Oryx and Deathsingers because you're invincible. Bonus points on Oryx because you can't crit him during the stagger phase. But snipers beat ToM for Roth and Priest because you really don't need to die and critting always works/helps.

True. Got to sisters yesterday pulled out touch with another person killed first sister on the first run the damage is amazing with ToM

Now tell me how you can hit consistent crits on the daughters with ToM, then it'll be good for the raid. Edit: Loving all of the people who can come up with good arguments and be respectful about it, but boy is there some salt in this thread ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Touch of malice for me is a raid only gun at least 2 people on the team need to use it on the sisters and oryx to seal the deal.
