I wouldn't buy extra raid armor chance if I didn't notice significant changes, for example. I pretty much get moldering shards every single checkpoint right now, likely on purpose so they can sell these things. Expect the XP buffs will also be downright unfair as well.[/i] ----- How we know these will be sold from the Eververse Trading Company: [spoiler]A "Starter Pack" is not something you obtain to begin with. Usually with that connotation it's bought, but regardless, the starter pack leads you to level 25, the same level a Spark of Light gives you. Spark of Lights still exist and are in the database, untouched. You only get one during the Taken King purchase, although these Starter Packs will likely have to be bought if you want to fully level another character in the same way, with even more benefits. It's extremely unlikely you obtain this and if it's Bungie's interest to already give you a Spark of Light with a $40 TTK purchase, you shouldn't trust them not to sell them with additional benefits. I'm not going to beat around the bush, there COULD possibly be ways to obtain heuristic light, valorous light, and indomitable light. Those consumables increase your likelihood for drops in the Raid, be it normal or hard. Although, the fact these, and along with the XP boosts such as Campaign Medals (which increase Cabal XP gains for 10 minutes) were all released together in the armory on the same day WITH the much more obvious "starter packs" leads me and anyone with common sense to believe these are part of the same principal and are to be sold as well.[/spoiler] "Ha, you call this Pay to Win?! Not even going to bother arguing with these people.[/spoiler] Take a moment to really think about whether or not you want to invest your time into this game any further, as this is a 10 year game and I really doubt the microtransactions will get less egregious than what's already put into the database and soon to be released into the game. The slippery slope isn't only slippery, it's -blam!-ing wet. Already. Now all of you understand why the forums were condemning micro transactions. This SHIT ruins games. I won't stand for this. If this gets sold, I am quitting. I have 2,700+ hours of gameplay invested and have been playing since Day 1 with over 7,000 Crucible games across my characters. Do I care about my progress? Absolutely. Does Bungie care enough to not undermine everything I've done? No they don't. Clearly. So goodbye Destiny, if these micro transactions get added. It will only get worse with the next 10 years ahead. Now I understand why I only get moldering shards and 4 chest pieces despite the "smarter" reward system Bungie implemented with Year 2.
