The Loot System Detects What You Already Have....
Yeah that's basically not true at all, unless my fire team is extremely unlucky. I got my 4th pair of Raid boots tonight. Still no chest piece or helm. And every one else is in the same boat.
Was that whole "loot system detects what you've already gotten" just made up or is it working as intended?
Also, who came up with Moldering Shards? Slap them please. It actually wouldn't be TOO terrible of an idea if it worked properly. Two times in a row now my "second drop" has been, what's that? You guessed it. 2 Moldering Shards! So I basically spent 20 shards to get two back. It's so genius.
EDIT: Bungie, the responses here are proof. We hope you're taking a look at this.

I thought It was only with exotics

It doesn't count for raid loot or exotics, only blues and I think legendaries, and that's only for light levels. The only thing they said in the reveal was that you wouldn't get the same shader twice, they said nothing about raid loot so I don't know where these posts came from tbh.

I think it does detect what you already have... but does so, so that it can give you the same thing again... seriously, nothing has changed for me... infact it might have gotten worse...

I don't remember) and the only Raid Armour I've received from it is two pairs of War Numen's Boots and a single Class Item. I have, however, gotten the Hand Cannon 4 times, and the Auto Rifle once. Though, my Titan did get a God-roll Elulim's Frenzy (Rocket), 310 with Tracking.

When I read that about the loot system, I surmised that it was referring exclusively to Legacy Engrams. I didn't read anything that gave me the impression that the entire game's loot pool would work the same way.

Loot system is garbage all they did was increase the amount of rare engram drops so that they can fool you into thinking all that other non sense they were promoting. Bungie are snakes.

Had a run yesterday with 20 moldering shards and i got 2 marks for my Titan... 2!!! AND THEY WERE BOTH WORSE THAN MY PREVIOUS ONE I now try to prevent having 20 moldering shards as they have been known to give you worse rewards

The raid is fun, the rewards are nice, but the broken system of how it decides what to give you is very disappointing. Don't tell us the loot system works one way, when it clearly does not. Raid loot is garbage, nightfall loot is garbage. So I tell myself, okay go take a break from the game play that's pissing you off and play some crucible...... Just to remember that crucible feels awkward now and not fun at all. Only thing I'm looking forward too right now is IB. Hopefully this time Tuesday I won't be disappointed more.

Hell the nightfall even seems like a broken slot machine spitting out obscene amounts of strange coins since ttk launch.

Cryptarch packages seem to work well for me. I generally get a shader every 3 ranks. I'm pleased.

Hereafter ×5 Alpha lupi x8 between hunter and titan. Suros X5 Telesto x4 Zhalo x1. Haven't even done the raid after reading everyone's drops. All that work isn't worth the trash drops it's giving. Yeah I've got been vaulting my exotic engrams until they fix this shit. This is ridiculous. I don't even look forward to the cryptarch or raid drops anymore.

1st ghost shell 300 2nd 310 3rd 303 4th 306 5th 308 6th 307 Then oryx drops me arms that are 306 when my arms were 308.

2 RepliesMy first ghost shell was 307..then 305, 303 and 300. After completing the raid 3x this week I didn't get a single light item higher than I obtained week 1. I also either get 2 molderin shards from oryx or a double drop of the same armour piece. . ie: two chest pieces. I am not necessarily crying.. but it would be nice to feel a slight gain after a week of grinding. There is no way a smart loot system in place.

I get moldering shards as my second drop 4/5 times and I constantly get the same repeat exotics
