The Loot System Detects What You Already Have....
Yeah that's basically not true at all, unless my fire team is extremely unlucky. I got my 4th pair of Raid boots tonight. Still no chest piece or helm. And every one else is in the same boat.
Was that whole "loot system detects what you've already gotten" just made up or is it working as intended?
Also, who came up with Moldering Shards? Slap them please. It actually wouldn't be TOO terrible of an idea if it worked properly. Two times in a row now my "second drop" has been, what's that? You guessed it. 2 Moldering Shards! So I basically spent 20 shards to get two back. It's so genius.
EDIT: Bungie, the responses here are proof. We hope you're taking a look at this.

I think for the raid they didn't want everyone getting all the gear after a few weeks and complaining of nothing to do. i think they could have had each weapon/armor piece drop on a specific week. e.g. Week 1 = Pulse Rifle and Helmet. Week 2 = Fusion Rifle and Chest. Make the drop the same as it is for the Strike specific stuff, so you can run the raid over and over and retain the chance to get gear, rather than just 1 chance per week.

Done the raid every week and can't get rhe ghost shell, cloak, chest armor, and any secondary weapon. I only want the ghost shell cause no matter what I do I can't seem to find a better one. Same with my hunter cloak.

Edited by Doobedeedoo: 10/12/2015 10:16:08 AMI'm pretty sure the reward from Oryx was Moldering shards and the 20 you spent gave you the armour/weapon. As for the repeat rewards, I've had 3 chest pieces on one character in 3 separate raids and 2 arms for one character in the same raid...

1 ReplyI've received 3 hawk moons, 2 hereafters, 2 telesto, too damn many helms of inmost light, too damn many alpha lupi chest, 2 raid boots, 2 raid gauntlets, 2 raid scout rifles, 3 raid shotguns, 3 raid fusion rifles, 5 raid ghost . I'd honestly really like the stuff I don't have. Chest, helmet, machine gun, rocket launcher, sniper. That would be helpful.

Did the raid four to five times on my hunter, keep getting the arms and the cloak usually at a lower value than my old ones.

The first 2 raids, got helm, gloves, boots, cloaks, rocket, shotgun and auto rifle. This last week I got everything I already had. And most had lower light. I now have 2 rockets and shotguns with IDENTICAL stats, save attack/light values. 2 auto rifles that seem alright, 2 helms, gloves, boots and cloaks. Stlll have yet to get the raid armor so I can get the elusive shader. I haven't found a ghost shell, let alone a ghost shell above 286 light in weeks. And I have gotten multiples of each exotic with many weapons and warlock/titan gear to obtain. My belief is that they do account for what we already have, but their coded equation is incorrect (0 instead of 1, if while rather then if then, zigged when they should have zagged; etc...) in the fact that it recognizes what exotic we currently have and instead of dropping something we don't have, it drops invective #4 for the day. Instead of the equation giving us a lower chance at exotics that we own and a higher chance on what we have yet to get, it does the exact opposite. Making what we are searching for nearly impossible to drop... [b]Tl,dr;[/b] Currently owned exotics seem to be weighed more heavily and consequently drop more frequently then exotics yet to be obtained.
