Battlefront will kill destiny, the beta may already be better

I had more fun with the cod beta than I did with the Star Wars one. Mostly because of the content I could access. Playing on one map on each game mode? It got boring super quick. Had fun, but the replay value to me went down super fast. :/

Different games that appeal to different audiences. The only thing that is killing Destiny is either Activision/Bungie or another loot shooter.

4 RepliesNah. Played it yesterday. Pros - its gorgeous, and Cons - gameplay was just unsatisfying. Fun? Of course, but: Gun firing is boring and deaths are totally undramatic. Menu screens are wordy and not very intuitive. I didn't care for the radar or in-match player data. No story mode, just horde and big multiplayer. I think I'd get bored with it quickly.

Is there a loot system or weapon/armor upgrade trees like Destiny? If not, Destiny may have a higher replayability value. I like the easy online play, too. You don't have to get a partner and hope you're on the same team. But if Last Gen is dropped next year, then Destiny could be better than Battlefront. I'm on last Gen, though.

I truly love Star Wars, but that game is for children. What kind of company actually takes away game mechanics every time they make a new one? Nhl 16, same thing. Let's do less and call it progress.

I honestly enjoyed Evolve a lot more than the Battlefront Beta. It really feels like Star Wars, though. At least they got that right.

I play on Xbox and this will be the first time in my life that I do not pick up a game, solely based on its graphics. The gameplay was fun enough and it's Star Wars so that's awesome, but the graphics were so damn blurry and choppy. It looks like your running medium settings on a PC. That's not what I want out of this gen.

Played it for awhile yesterday. Destiny is safe. Battlefront will be a decent game but i wont waste my money on it
