Shotguns getting nerfed again? Wow
Are you serious? Shotguns were the only good close range option, & you're gonna take shot package away from EVERY shotty. That's pretty bs. Maybe if people would stop complaining.

More like close to mid range to long range option.

Yay! Liked! Maybe now I won't see so many scrubs relying only on shotgun/slides or blink and bad connections....now if only they can turn off god mode for lag switchers

1 ReplySwords are the only good close range option in PvE now ever since the 45% damage nerf that turned shottys into feather dusters. Soon there won't be any close range options in PvP at all. Every match will consist of people moving 10ft from where you spawned in and just camping with a sniper. There won't even be a reason to traverse the map outside of going to the special crate to refill your sniper and then back to camping.

Exactly. Shotguns are the ONLY close range option. Maybe now, shotguns, fusions, and side arms will be a viable option. Love this change.

6 RepliesEdited by Pure Potential: 10/9/2015 9:32:13 AMThe best thing about the shotgun was if you had a crappy connection and used blink you could kill the other player before you appeared on their screen. /s There should at least be the equivalent of weapon swap delay when you use those sort of abilities before you can fire your weapon. Also seems weird that you get as much sniper ammo as shotgun ammo in the crucible, the special weapons are not equal those quantities need to be reevaluated.

Shot package increases lethality at range. Up close all the pellets hit anyway. If you can't land them all at close range, shot package will actually make it harder since the grouping is tighter....

They weren't just close range. I used them, but its boring. You one hit someone down a hallway, not even landing a headshot.

It will still be fine at close range you just won't be able to one shot someone at a few dozen yards distance. Unless you consider one shotting someone from around a corner and behind a rock close range then yeah I guess.....

just get close enough so the opposing team can taste the metal, they will still be as dead as before. I think ranged shotgun took skill, I always took the easy option of landing on peoples heads and killing them, that will still work fine.

im just gonna be blunt, who cares? Ive yet to see a yr2 shotty with shot package and that said most people are using the free vanguard one because it has crazy range thanks to range finder. Thatll be the new go to, its got slow rof but has great range, a pretty balanced shotty. Everyone needs to start finding yr2 alternatives because youre gonna be stuffed come Ib/trials and you dont have one you like. Theres plenty out there with rangefinder and the like, losing shot package isnt going to make that much of a difference in the long run.
