21 RepliesIn other words: Who wasted hours trying to figure out the codes with their Little Orphan Annie decoder ring and feels a bit sheepish now that someone has simply posted the answers that are about as simple as "Be sure to drink your Ovaltine"?

We actually brute forced it. There were 4 of us. Only took us like 10 minutes.
-
No. But I did find it strange how they just stood there for a bit before attacking.
-
Your thread probably would have carried weight if the decoding was actually fun (like involving cryptography, a puzzle or part of the lore), but it is simply a series of up, down etc. etc. inputs. I'm happy that you feel it a great accomplishment but IMO it is just a waste of time.

1 ReplySign here if you were on the forums yesterday while at work and new what the codes were before you even knew WTF the mission or the transceiver was.
-
2 RepliesNope.... googled it like a lazy guy so I will not sign because I should have seen the obvious but I will admit to my laziness.

I just guessed sat there for an hour till I got em all done
-
I cracked them by counting
-
Nope, I was hiding down the stairs underneath, like a big scaredy coward, so didn't see any of them spawn.

6 RepliesThe problem with the puzzles in this game is that there are literally no clues. Why/how would anyone know to count knights as they spawn before you even have the transceiver? Even after you got it, what logic is there to imply that codes from Rasputin would be gotten from taken/hive knights that spawn with no explanation? It makes no sense. No dialogue. No clues. No reason for knights to be in the bunker. No reason for their spawning pattern to relate to Rasputin codes. Good puzzles make sense in context.

1 ReplyWhat happens if you dont get it right the first time? Can you keep guessing?
-
Signed I thought there was something fishy about their positioning and the fact that they didn't attack me for 3 seconds after the last one shows up
-
lol, bc Im sure you didnt see the hint that the knights were the key I was too busy hiding behind stuff regenerating energy to even realize they spawned in a pattern

1 ReplyDon't have photographic memory nor do I want to take pictures of my TV with my phone for a video game. I looked it up. I could rationalize it, but let's face it that's not what these posts are for, right?

5 RepliesYou had prior info an idea not an original idea
-
Did you hear that??? that was the sound of that going over my head
-
Looked up the strategy because I don't have time for trial and error. But didn't look at the actual codes. I was shouting out the order of the Knights while trying to stay alive. Meanwhile my gf was next to me frantically recording it on a notepad... It was kinda fun since she doesn't play video games, but felt included. :)

1 ReplyMy brother and I figured out the first set and what was used for the password but couldn't remember the next orders so looked it up. Solved the idea behind it, just not the rest.

1 ReplyMe and my fireteam worked together it was fun

1 ReplyIf you count doing the mission with two friends and bouncing the ideas off eachother, but eventually getting it without a walk through 'doing it yourself'. Then: Signed!

Nope, Dont care about Destiny enough to use brain power on it.

Was I supposed to crack some Rasputin codes?
