So some people have heard of legendary guns that are "prototype" exotics. Here's a list of all of them that are known, how each perform stat wise, and how to obtain them. Red Spectre - Red Death The Red Spectre is odd, it has a mid-tier rate of fire, and high-tier impact. From personal experience, I think the actual damage is bugged, or simply the stat bar is lying. It feels more like both mid-tier RoF and impact. Aesthetically, it has a flat red and white paintjob without the blood, spikes, and unique ammo display that Red Death has. The Red Spectre drops from the Crucible. Eyasluna - Hawkmoon Eyasluna is basically Hawkmoon but with slightly different stats and random perks. Aesthetically, it has the same red appearance, but it has the rear sight post removed, and the claw on the grip removed. Eyasluna drops randomly from Crucible matches. The Hothead - Dragon's Breath The Hothead is another red prototype, this time of the Dragon's Breath rocket. This is a quest reward, however, and may have a set perk roll on it. I would like to know if anyone knows if this is the case or not. It has a massive blast radius, but it's velocity is a little below average, but from my experience it has a great reload speed. In Times of Need - Universal Remote This one is a little deceiving at first, but upon closer inspection, it is very similar to the primary shotgun of mention. It has the faster firing archetype of shotguns, with little in terms of the range stat. IToN drops from the Crucible, same as Red Spectre and Eyasluna.
