2 RepliesPistols: no Semi auto assault rifles: yes

Personaly I think everyone household should be required to own some type of gun and be trained in using that, but if you have a mental disorder or have committed a crime in the past 3-5 years you won't be allowed to have one in the household. Also people who refuse to get the training shouldn't be allowed to own a gun either

I live on the eastern shore of Maryland, a nerd on the middle of redneck country. Its impossible to not know how to use a gun. Here is how I make a compramise. Keep your guns in a lockable case. But then again, what redneck is going to buy an 800$ case got his guns. News flash, not even the looks great would enforce this in my area.

2 RepliesMy health teacher does say during a break-in if you (the house owner) owns a gun and uses it you are 44% more likely to wind up injuring yourself than the robber.
and if the police arrive to see YOU with a gun they might even think YOUR the robber.
-
I say no. I myself own quite a few guns. They help feed my family, and they give me something to go out to the range and have fun with. Also, what about home protection? Think about the increase in home invasions because the homeowner wouldn't have any protection. Sure. The person invading wouldn't either. But wouldn't you want a gun to stop an invader in their tracks?

Hitler took away guns, look what happened.
-
I dont think they should take them away but do something about them involving not doing that
-
Good luck getting them without the proper paperwork and compensation for my guns. Those things aren't cheap and you'll be dead otherwise.
-
27 RepliesIf you say no you are ignorant
-
No guns should not be removed from homes. Guns are to be used to keep criminals and tyrants in check. Government only allowed guns lmfao, they can't even manage money!
-
42 RepliesAbsolutely not. That's infringing on the second amendment. However, guns being regulated as well as something like cars wouldn't hurt.
-
1 ReplyCome take my guns, I dare you.
-
12 RepliesGun control worked in Australia, it worked in Britain. The only people who don't want change are just scared little girls.
-
12 RepliesDoesn't Switzerland require it's citizens to have firearms? Doesn't it also have the lowest homicide rate in the world? I wonder why... Maybe they have those "Gun Free Zone" sings posted everywhere.

Edited by MrsPlatinumOG: 10/9/2015 7:38:11 PMAbsolutely not, you're taking away our only defense against crime. Real criminals will just buy there guns in the black market. Thanks Obama for tying our hands behind our back once again!
-
2 RepliesGood luck removing 300 million guns. Lol. Guns aren't the problem. Stupid people are. You don't see criminals attacking areas where there are guns. It's always gun free zones. Gee I wonder why... Stupid liberals and Obama have no common sense or a brain

3 RepliesI don't want to ban guns but they should be regulated a lot better. Canadian gun laws are some of the best.
-
Removing them doesn't solve anything
-
I agree we should ban guns but its not going to happen so a compromise would be stricter gun laws
-
2 RepliesLook at Canada. We have guns, but tight controls on them. We definitely have more gun violence than the U.K., but we absolutely have less than the U.S.
Rwanda probably had less than the U.S.
-
I have several guns. I'm an American. I think they need to be regulated better,
-
1 ReplyI said no and I have no guns in my house that I'm aware of
-
34 RepliesNo. In fact, Americans should have access to military grade weaponry to maintain a well regulated militia.
-
It's not going to happen unless you want a bunch of dead cops.
-
No, but background checks, mental health exams, and gun ownership training should be required. They're extra hurdles, but they're hurdles that could save lives.
