I've been seeing this argument lately, if it's even worthy of that title.
" if GG has 3 shots then Titans should only get 3 hammers! "
Stupid... Stupid thing to say
- hammers do not have good aim assist, even the tracking perk doesn't make then track that much
- GG has the highest aim assist in the game
-hammers travel in an arc like motion so you have to account for it over a range
- GG fires in a straight line, even at range
-hammers drain your super
-GG shots do not drain your super
-sunbreakers have minimal damage resistance during their super, ( edit: ok fine, it's not minimal, but Titans are slow compared to other classes, especially when in supered, there are counters that u have listed below)
-gunslingers have no damage resistance
-Titans are much slower than hunters, which would account for the damage resistance
-hunters are much more agile than Titans, which would account for no damage resistance
I guarantee you will say "but your highest level character is a titan" this is because I was most excited for the new subclass pre TTK.
I have the most time played on my hunter, primarily the gunslinger subclass.
^ so don't use that argument because you are making yourself look stupid.
If you disagree, explain why
EDIT: Titans have damage resistance because they are slower than other classes.
EDIT 2: ways to counter a sunbreaker super
- get in close with a shotty and melee, hide around a corner and suprise them
- outrun them, Titans are slow compared to the other classes
- counter with your own super
- take out from range, jump around so they have to re adjust their aim because hammers have an arc when thrown
-suppressor grenades

I know Titans are the fastest class generally, but I'm talking about while the super is activated.
I have never seen a titan skate with their super active
EDIT 4: okay, this is where we are at.
The hammer spam glitch needs to be fixed and the sunbreaker needs a tad less damage resistance, ex: can be killed by a high impact sniper or GG shot.
No Logical reason to nerf the hammers or how many you have, just a change in damage resistance.
Thoughts on that so far?

Titans have enough armor buff to survive a GG shot, nova bomb, FoH and high impact sniper rifle headshot if they have armor build.

When you shoot all of your Golden Gun shots (1, 3 or 4) you will lose your super. This should be the same deal with the Sunbreaker because there's a glitch that allows you to throw a lot of Hammers (I heard one guy threw 70+ hammers in one super). I hope Bungie will fix this glitch as soon as possible, would be ridiculous in Trials of Osiris. Edit: Noticed the thing about Titans being slow and Hunters having the best agility. Now when this is true that Hunters have the best Agility max Agility with Nightstalker's Keen Scout perk on, it's still slower than a Titan with max Armor, a lot of Recovery and small amount of of Agility. You know why? Increased Control. When you double jump quickly with a Titan when you're running forward, it gives you a huge boost. A lot of Titans does this. So Titans can be the fastest class with the highest amount of Armor while still having a lot of Recovery.

Also if you get a 1 hit kill you regen life. Here's my thoughts on Sunbreaker\Stormcaller (also OP). You can pick 2 out of 3 of the following items: Range, Damage, Tankiness. You don't get all 3. The idea that the melee based supers should get damage reduction makes sense because they have to get in range to use the ability. HoD has range already, so it doesn't make sense to get the tankiness along with it. It doesn't compare favorably to the other supers.

I want to see more threads about the Sleeper Simulant and other hidden secrets that dropped with this latest DLC. Oh ... and the argument about 3 hammers vs 3 golden guns ... then how about 3 nova-bombs, 3 foh, and only 3 bladedancer slashes ?? --- bladedancers are a bitch to take down. the people complaining are the ones who haven't figured out how easy it is to disable a Sunbreaker ... try your bow ... it instantly shuts the Titan Sunbreaker super down ... An argument can easily be made for / against anything. The crucible is far more balanced than it ever has been - how about fixing the real issues with things like the Crucible .... LIKE LAG?!!!

3 RepliesJust finished playing 4-5 games of mayhem with my Titan where I consistently got higher than a 2.5 KD. I'm average in the crucible at best and the hammer pretty much carried my KD.

2 RepliesThe only thing that should change is the armor buff for sun breakers. They can survive- golden gun, rocket, sniper headshot(high impact) and much more. This is not a [b]minimal[/b] resistance buff.
