Guys halo 5 is a joke!
Halo 4 was trash (5 months into launch it had less players than halo 3) and halo 5 already looks ridiculously silly. If you find yourself liking these games at least understand that these new games are engineered for a new player base and completely lack the feeling and importance of the previous games.
Edit: Let the cognitive dissidence flow guys, I love it! You can enjoy bad games guys its not like flappy birds had a deep meaningful campaign!
Edit: heres a good response before anyone tries to argue halo 4 was better than halo 3 OR that halo 3 needed to be "modernized" with sprinting and custom classes.
1. 60fps is a technological advancement its a given that games get better visually through time you have a problem if you think that is something that makes new games better than old games
2. Sprinting ruined the architecture of halo 4's online multiplayer, also what ruined both the campaign and the multiplayer was the lack of architectural knowledge that 343's team had. The copy and paste mentality ruined simple beauty of the original games.
Also wait lets talk about what halo 4 ruined?
Balance and spontaneous gameplay
Custom classes became "spawn with bolt shot an BR" and maps had less incentive to search for weapons which was a big mechanic in the original games that spawned a free flowing spontaneous and fun multiplayer that drew so many people in. 343 made boring repetitive maps and a system that fostered boring repetitive spawning with no incentive to give up your spawning weapons because they are better than what you find except ya know power weapons.

Halo 4 was not great. It kept my interest for a while. Definitely not the previous games but halo 5 beta was amazing. Most fun I've had since halo 2 in competitive multiplayer. (Because halo 3 was mostly custom games let's be honest). And if it is anything like the beta then you can -blam!- off cuz the beta was amazing.

We all have our own opinions man, I love halo, halo 4 was no exception, I had a blast playing it although I'd argue halo 5 isn't gonna be good, I played the beta and hated it, although that new attrition style game mode looks fun, not gonna lie, I'll also most likely buy it for campaign lol after I beat the campaign I'll play multiplayer for a while and then it'll collect dust lol and I'll come back to it now and again like most of the games I have

Halo 4 was iffy I play halo for the campaign mostly so I was fine I have about 7 days of play time on halo 4 compared to my 27 days of destiny and 1000s of hours on fallout. Halo 5 seems to be shooting for the moon... But even if you miss you'll land among the stars! [spoiler]but seriously I think it'll be fine[/spoiler]

From what I've seen of Halo5 (which MP wise is everything released) it looks as though many of you points have been taken and accounted for. While sprint does lead to elongation of maps I fail to see how in this day and age it's a bad thing? Warzone clearly uses its large maps well a good player count,vehicles,AI,AI vehicles etc. Maybe for Arena the argument holds water but even then a fair number of players hate the feeling of running around a shoe box. Sprint speed has been lowered while base movement speed has been increased and it's been mentioned that the MP holds pretty much no need for you to use sprint unless you want to. The point of why have it then? Could be used but clearly it shows that 343 are trying at least to cater to hardcore and new players by giving more options and variations. As for your comment on 'balanced and spontaneous gameplay' this can basically be broken down to two major problems many had with halo 4 AA's and weapon balance. Now for AA's they gone the wide spread approach and given all abilities to all players which levels the playing field some but what's to be remembered is each new SA comes with a draw back. As for weapon balance this has been shown not to be an issue in many MP vid surely from the fact that players will willing trade their AR for a BR or BR for an AR magnum,bolt shot etc the fact that no one I have viewed on MP sticks to one gun and utilises other guns shows balance and that you are no longer at an automatic disadvantage for choosing something other then the BR. [spoiler]not saying you are a troll just that trolls should actually have fair points and not just a one sentence flame thread.[/spoiler]

1 ReplyBecause unfortunately if they do the same thing over and over again people will complain that it's just like the last one. Games evolve, plain and simple. Look at cod, went from world war 2 shooting to modern shooters to this futuristic setting. MSG, same thing going on there. Games need to cater to new ideas in order to attracted the gamers, new and old. For me I like the halo franchise, I like the lore behind it, and I like the new additions they add to the games.
