Bungie, its time to Nerf Shotguns into the ground.
YOU CANT BALANCE THEM SO MAKE THEM UNVIABLE UNTIL YOU CAN.
remove range finder, shot package and all buffs that inprove range.
cut the impact of the High impact model by 1/3
remove LitC and Final round and them half the Clips of every shotgun.
reduce reserve ammo by half
i want to play destiny were Shotguns are useless so for once we can see a varity of Special weapons.

Can we just have special weapons removed from PvP entirely? Maybe make one special playlist that allows special weapons?

I'll vote for shotty free game modes but removing them from the entire crucible nah. I personally dont use shot guns in pvp anymore but people with no skill require them to make themselves feel good

2 RepliesI agree. I hate shotguns because most maps are too much CQC, and players who either have no skill with primaries, or simply like taking advantage, use shotguns as a primary. Shotguns ruin PvP experiences.

You almost were right. Just remove range finder and shot package. And cut the impact of the party crasher model a little bit It would be fine after that.

It's funny. After all the talk about shotguns ruining pvp and the patches and everything... The first 300 drop I he was from a vanguard quest. Conspiracy Theory D with rangefinder and a ranged barrel type. Hing absolutely wrecks in pvp. Use it always.

4 RepliesBungie has to cater to the noobs and casuals as they are greater in number and thus a bigger dollar sign to bungie. If casuals can get kills and thus be positively reinforced to keep playing via the rewarding feel it gives that is all that matters. The problem is the abusive no life sweaties that take advantage. You really just need to start using them.

Better idea lets make them shoot soft fluffy cotton balls so that no one gets hurt

The way to balance special weapon use is to make them like heavies. You don't spawn with any ammo, 3 crates drop a game, and when you die your ammo does not carry over to your next life
