A buddy and I were running court, and another group shows up. We are running runes when one of them throws in an antiquated rune. We try as hard as we can and almost get it so I decide to try mine out. It starts and they just stand there not helping at all. Once we fail they throw theirs in and I help out because I'm not an ass. We fail again so I throw in a blue rune and once again they stand on the opposite side of the barrier and just wave.
Has anyone else experienced such fuc|<ery?
Edit: I didn't expect so many replies! Thanks for the support and offers to help. Before you post more "if they don't help you, don't help them." I'm aware and thank you.
Edit: holy crap I didn't expect this to trend. Thanks for all of the support! I won't give up!
Edit: Had a great experience at the court the other day. That same buddy and I were hanging out and running some low level runes. We had a third show up and we three manned a couple legendary runes. Then another group showed up and we ran a couple with 6. Faith officially restored.

1 ReplyMy experience of the court has been the opposite of yours, the players have been friendly and helpful apart from the occasional scrub showing up. Mebbe you should consider using a different aftershave/deodorant.
-
1 ReplyThey just need to fix the reward system. Me and some friends were doing antiquated runes because it was a new week and i needed them on my hunter. There was a guy who stood on the ledge for 2-3 rounds doing absolutely nothing but he still went up to the chest and collected his rewards
-
I find half of the time I go to the court, the others I find there never use any runes at all. Often waiting for my timer to reset.
-
3 RepliesWhoa, you guys actually ever see people there?
-
Met a team of three. They keep running reciprocal runes. I waited for a chance to pop a stolen or Antiquated. When they completed one would skip getting rewards and rush to pop another, I never had a chance. I finally stopped helping them and watched, eventually leaving. Wouldn't have mattered. They struggled with the ogre and the witch.
-
That is ridiculous. I always help people out, and I always get help. People can be such eggs.
-
I always help everyone out when I'm at the court I got my warlock from 250 to 290 in about 2 hours doing it so it's a good way to get your light up
-
2 RepliesWell if you couldn't two man it then there's your problem
-
You just ran into assholes I never seen anybody just stand aside and wait their turn.

I've only ever run into really great people In CoO. I went in this morning before work, and I was the only one at the Court, but there were 2 more in the area. I dropped a tier one and they both came straight over. We all dropped runes for close to an hour, and each of us waved as it was time for us to go.
-
I ran with a bunch of randoms and we probably did 8 tier 3s , 3 tier 2s, and a few tier 1s. Everyone got a sublime engram.
-
We had 7 people (all above 290 light) doing court of Oryx last night. We got on a server that already had 4 people doing it, so our team of 2 joined in and had a buddy join about a half hour afterwards. Bosses were a joke a that point. Burned though probably 10 antiquainted and countless of the others and drops were pretty good for the most part. Haven't had an issue yet where people are being ass clowns and not participating.
-
2 RepliesI've had some really decent people. Took 4 or 5 tries last night but a group of 5 (me, a buddy, and 3 randoms) completed an Antiquated Rune.
-
I have been lucky enough to get some really cool people in CoO. I'm sorry you've had some bad eggs, man.
-
Why would you not help it's free rewards. Spent a few hours there pursing around with Randy's last night and this morning. Only popped 4 runes my self but I would go ham on the boss with my sword of kickass. They drop SOOOOOO fast now.

Edited by illestdood: 10/2/2015 5:18:00 PMI don't see when you're upset. A tier 2 you can do with 2 higher players, but if they didn't help with your tier 3, then you shouldn't have helped on theirs. They prolly only wanted to do it because of getting better drops on your own rune, but why be upset if they didn't want to do it when you popped runes in at any level? It patrolling, not like you got stuck trying to run a strike or something with people not helping. Leave the area and hope they won't be on the same server as you come back to the hall of souls. I'm all for helping out at the Court, but I don't see the point of some people saying to report them. It's their choice to do it or not in patrol. I'm usually one trying to run it with lots of people, just for the new interacting with people there.

I hopped on the other day and helped somebody finish their level 3 and then waved like I was doing my level 3. I popped the level 3 rune and he just sat down on the floor and me and a random had to get it done but we did. So I went over and punched and tea bagged him. Then he popped another level 3 rune and looked at me so I followed him in and just sat where the enemies couldn't kill me until they beat it and got my free rewards.

Edited by Gub: 10/2/2015 4:44:00 PMYep. I'd have my Touch of Malice now if that hadn't happened to me. Now I have to wait until next week.
-
I've never experienced that but I would probably report them for being unhelpful/unfriendly and leave.
-
Happens a few times, normally kids, thats when I get friends together and we just spam tier 1 and 2 runes for friends who need them for gears and quests or just say screw em and do tier 3s over and over. Can't let others ruin ur fun
-
Never came across any yet hope I don't. I never use a rune unless with fire team of 3 so we can trio if others decide not to help or are not high enough
-
Havnt ran into that but I did run into many noobs stealing the sword from me at 260 light and run to sword -blam!- crota while he was still up...I was not entertained

Edited by bnarsty: 10/2/2015 4:50:32 PMMe and my buddy were running court with two other randoms in another fire team. We do a couple of their tier 3s and complete them no problem. As soon as we put our tier 3 in they both just stand there not help. I message them telling them that was some dirty. They proceed to tell all their friends to send me messages telling me to " get gud" and that its " not serious" and that I'm a " scrub". One guy messages me and said he was taking a break while they both were still clearly moving their characters around . Some people have no respect or understand what a co op multiplayer activity is
-
So far I have only had positive experiences at the CoO. I agree with the majority of people on here about the rewards, it is kind of b.s. it's still fun even without receiving rewards.
-
2 RepliesI get more dbags on strikes than I do in CoO, nothing but good experiences there so far
