Nightstalker Rulez :/ NO PATCH!
Update: I am a dumbass. Fatigue caused me to overlook the skill tree, and lack of sleep caused my numerous fails with the subclass. I apologize. Nightstalker is actually pretty good. EPIC FAIL on me. Sorry about that. I figured it out. BTW, this post was genuine, until I got some sleep :)

Personally, I think the OP just doesn't fit well with nightstalker. I personally love nightstalker. Grenade and melee help me out a lot with crowd control and the super helps me often in solo play with blood bound. I easily solo'd oryx with it and tbh, the other classes are harder to solo with imo.

The Nightstalkers subclass is built as a support class, which is probably why you are having difficulty soloing stuff. Also, it's a high risk high gain set, so you have to be much more strategic.

Dps isn't the problem. When you tether enemies in PVE they all take critical damage. I didn't read your full post bc I don't think you know what your talking about. The only thing they need to buff when it comes to the night stalker is the time it takes for the tether to activate. It's useless in crucible most the time bc everyone has time to run away before it activates. Your better off using quiver in crucible. If they decreased the amount of time it takes to activate it would be much more viable in PVP. It can't compete with other supers as well simply because it takes way too long to activate.

Nightstalker is support and you say you use support all the time so don't tell you how to use it, but if you used support all the time you would understand that the night stalker subclass isn't meant to solo. It's super isn't meant to take a portion out of a bosses health (even though it can still do tons of DPS if used correctly), it's meant to lock down a portion of enemies and blow them all to hell while creating a load of orbs (assuming you are using the correct abilities for this) I think many would agree with me when I say the night stalker is the best subclass for PvE and still pretty good for PvP. There's nothing wrong with the sub class, you just don't know how to use it correctly.

Are we playing the same game? This whole post is garbage. If you cant play without some crutch ability to stop you dying every ten minutes, don't blame the game.

I'm loving my nightstalker. Yeah it is more team oriented, but it's all about planning overall. Run bloodbound and courage of the pack for solo purposes. No need to farm orbs if you're alone. Before tethering enemies, make sure you're loaded. Spam nades and use heavy to get the damage off before the tether disappears. I haven't maxed out my class yet, but I'd suggest running vanish for the smoke nades so you can retreat when needed.

Well how about, you use it better, big strong enemies with a million adds, arrow with blood bound, kill one add, kill all adds, do damage to boss, rinse and repeat, profit.

I love Nightstalker. I think they've got the most utility of the two subclasses. Maybe you just suck?

Make smoke bigger, and last longer, and add some damage resistance during super, and it would be perfect.

Dude nightstalker is a "SUPPORT" class. with that being said hunters have always been squishy. Also nightstalker is an orb generating machine! My girlfriend and I play together she's a storm caller and we continually feed each other orbs. I pin them in place and she fries them. It's an excellent combo for us. Maybe try a gun such as red death or another that has a health regeneration perk. I've found they are extremely effective when soloing activities.

Have you ever even used the super? The DPS is amazing lol it makes every shot a crit and damages everything that's tethered lol. Actually play the class before you bash it.

Nightstalker owns Bladedancers and Gunslingers and I'm more of a Bladedancer guy, Courage of the Pack, Light of the Pack and Blood Bound and Shadestep make the nightstalker so awesome plus the smoke grenade
