Level 40 is part of the selling point for ttk, it likely wont go past 34 until either the next big expansion or full game sorry man.

Why do people without ttk want 40 light they can't use any new stuff so their light level would be the same

The people who cry about being able to get parts of the dlc for free would be the same people calling others morons for spending $40 on "something I can do for free". We get it... You want to have a justifiable reason why you didnt buy ttk to make yourselves look like the smart ones.

Why? Raid requires TTK. Strike playlists require TTK. Nightfall will almost always be a TTK strike. Daily will almost always be a TTK mission. Non TTK owners do not need to be level 40.
