Three Of Coins

Did you receive any exotic engrams from your three of coins?
This is to those who have used 10 or more... if you haven't used ten or more, don't answer.
I used 20 and haven't received any exotic engrams, I also used them individually which is quite a let down, I could have bought heavy ammo if I knew I was just wasting my coins on an item that wouldn't work for me.

I get an exotic maybe every 7-10 three of coins that I use.

Got one which turn into 310 supercell from killing shade at KF hm and then another exotic drop - 310 invective killing oryx

I buy 30 every week. Use around 20-25. Get about 4-8 exotics a week so far. About 1/4 are 310 light.

2 Repliesi have tried the suicide method with the coins but it just doesn't seem to work for me...i have wasted over 100+ 3ocs and i got only blues and greens and maxed glimmer but no exotics/legendaries...what a waste...

One every six coins on average. Some back to back. Some 10 coins later.

I've used atleast 250 since TTK. And I've gotten almost every exotic in Year Two alteast twice. Fourth Horseman and Hereafter seem to like me a lot. The only ones I haven't gotten is Knuclehead Radar and Don't Touch Me's. And Skull of Dire Ahamkara, but idiot think that can drop from exotic Helm engrams. And even if it did, I barely ever get helm engrams, so I'm shit out of luck.

The last week I have used 50 3 of coins. I have gotten 2 exotic engrams both chest prices and both crest of alpha lupi. Very annoying. Not sure why I've been so unlucky as I've used them like they are supposed to be used ie at the start of every strike (except flayers) and before killing golgoroth and warpriest.

2 RepliesYeah....it's normal to go through spells where they don't seem to be working anymore. I've had this happen as well. Also, I have gotten back to back exotic engrams from them 3 times now.

I was told to just play strikes using ToC

Didn't mention in your post but toc farming doesn't work anymore, you can use it doing strikes (most bosses), oryx echoes in the raid and some other ultras as long as you wait about 5-10 mins between each.

You have to use one at a time until you actually get one to drop, with decent luck it should only take you about 5-7 coins, the multiple stacking got patched.

I've used probably around 40 3oC, trying to space them out every 10 minutes, and typically get an exotic every 5-6.

Literally got on earlier at reset.. bought Hawkmoon, Sealed gauntlets, and 3 if coins from Xur.. I ran 1 heroic strike and used 1 3 of coins and got a helmet drop that turned into Gravitron
