Which "Enemy" is Truly Evil?
I personally say that the Hive and the Taken are the two that actually seem evil. What is everyone's opinion?
Edit 1: not a single vote on fallen or taken lol
Edit 2: only 1% of the voters think the fallen are evil.

1 ReplyThe Fallen are basically space pirates that want the traveler back. Not really evil. Cabal for the most part just seem to defend their home and not really -blam!- with other planets unless they're "on the move" Hive are being controlled by the worms. Basically zombies. Indirectly evil. Taken are empty puppets of oryx. Indirectly evil. Vex seem to want to wipe the universe clean and dominate everything. Definitely evil.

Fallen and cabal are not really evil like the name the fallen have just fallen from what they once were the cabal are just a really hostile race probably because of the taken that they are fleeing from. The hive,vex and taken though are truly evil they just want to consume all life

Taken are basically those who lost their will to Oryx. They don't choose what they want.

The Hive and Vex are inherently evil. The fallen are inadvertently helping the darkness, and the Cabal are just a militant race sent to Mars for the black garden.

3 RepliesFallen want their traveler back. Cabal don't like planets getting in their way. Taken are being held against their will so they aren't the evil ones. Hive are infected by worms causing them to do evil things kinda like what is happening with the Taken. Vex are "the evil that despises other evil" Vex is my answer.

None of them are "truly" evil. Fallen are pissed we stole the traveler Cabal are conquerers. They're probably the most "evil" taking planets for no good reason other than to conquer. But they might get more fleshed out in their dlc. Hive are trying to make the perfect universe. They're philosophy is if they can kill you, you don't deserve to live. If they can't kill you then they don't deserve to live. In fact Oryx probably wanted you to kill him. The taken are just byproducts of them. As are the vex. They picked up whatever the hive logic was when they were created (by Crota's f-up). So they are like robot hive. By human moral codes, the hive are pure evil, but each enemy has a "code" they follow. They could be calling us evil and they probably are.

7 RepliesThe cabal aren't evil. We've been the instigator in every fight with them minus the exclusion zone, which was them defending themselves from an intruder. They crash and try to blow up the dreadnaught. Sure, they chased us off Mars but that's probably to defend us from the vex taking it as a machine, as the vex are there, trying to take it over. And note they're only on one planet, not trying to conquest the Galaxy. Plus the dreadnaught too, but that's because they're trying to destroy it. The Cabal just simply are not evil to me. What do you think?

3 RepliesWell if you read the Books Of Sorrow Grimoire, you'd see that Oryx and her/his sisters, wrecked everything in their path as they chased the traveler across the universe. Its stated the Hive (and eventually the Taken) killed off over 100 species. The Vex were created by either Crota or Oryx. (Cant Remember) The Cabal are basically the Romans, but they are probably running from the Hive/Taken. The Fallen, Im guessing are another race the Traveler visited and the Hive arrived later and laid waste to their world(s).

9 RepliesFallen are just desperate galactic hobos fighting for survival. Verdict: Not Evil. Cabal are militaristic expansionists implied to be running from something. Killing doesn't seem to be personal or driven by philosophy for them, and they don't appear to bother with torture or similar cruelty-for-cruelty's-sake activities. Verdict: Not Evil, but could use some lessons in proper diplomacy. Hive follow a philosophy that the reason there's so much strife in the universe is because of all the things struggling to exist in it. If they kill everything, the universe will be at peace. They're doing what they feel is right, twisted as it is. Verdict: Evil, because omnicide is bad regardless of intentions. Taken are just mindless puppets of Oryx. Verdict: Not Evil, by virtue of being empty shells. Vex are wildcards. They want to establish Vex supremacy as a law of the universe, but we don't know what exactly that means or what they'd do after they succeed. For the sake of this post, I'll assume they want to wipe out everything that ever existed besides themselves. Verdict: Evil, because dicking around with time to make your race the only one that ever existed is even worse than just killing everything.
