Light level
wtf. I cant seem to get better gear, been playing for at least 3-4 hours a day since TTK launched and nothing, finally at 258 light after buying some exotics from Xur
meanwhile, my friend started playing yesterday, and a few hours later hes light level 240 (without exotic from Xur)
Is it RNG or am I doing something wrong?

292. Farm court of oryx. Don't buy ANY VENDOR gear. Use blues with high defense until you find legendaries with the stars and perks you want. Then infuse the blues into them.

When I started I was at light 242 when I finished I was at 274. Just grind strikes, there are a lot of blues that are higher than some of the legendary items.

4 RepliesWear the highest light level gear you have (yes, even if it's blues) because higher gear/engrams drop the higher light level you are. Quests, strikes (heroic if possible), and Court of Oryx is how I got to 292. When you get to 270-280, start infusing some. Pick a good weapon/gear and infuse higher stuff into it.
