PSA: coins do not stack when used all at once. The way they work is when you use a ToC but fail to get an exotic, the next ToC has a greater chance of getting you an exotic.
PLEASE BUMP SO PEOPLE CAN SEE

Edited by ORANGEDRONE: 9/18/2015 8:48:28 PMThink it improves chances considerably tho. That's what they mean by "stacks". You could use one at a time and then proceed to kill bosses repeatedly OR just use 5+ all at once and just have to kill the boss one time (most likely)

God darn it
-
Bumpsauce
-
Hahaha I had a guy using 5 at a time....
-
That's how I understood it. People using more than one....smh
-
Damn it.
-
This, so that the world may know.

This^

Awesome! Thanks :)

I love your work in french fries, truly breathtaking.

What's the best way to use them? Pop one then another afterwards? How long does the effect last? And does it increase your chance indefinitely?
-
The effects seem to last indefinitely. Pop one, kill an ultra, pop again, rinse and repeat. It will show up as a buff on your inventory screen.
-
I used 2 coins then one at a time got the stag 4 th horseman and crest of alpa lupi if I didn't get one when I used two I just popped one the next time and dropped an exotic ppl are wild using 15 at a time lol
-
They do stack it's in the discripsio
-
Read the weekly update, they stack after the engram fails to drop from the ultra you killed.
-
so use them one at a time?
-
I've been listening to streams all morning at work. This is the best way to get the most. They were getting around ten exotics for 30-50 coins
-
-
This statement is based on what? If it's your own experience then it could simply be a misleading rng pattern
-
It's based off of the update on 9/17
-
Crap - wasted 4 I guess. Lucky I bought a whole bunch. Bungie should really do a better job at explaining some stuff. We don't all read - or should be expected to read - those weekly updates...
Bungie should really do a better job at explaining some stuff. We don't all read - or should be expected to read - those weekly updates...
The Weekly Update is their main pipeline for communicating what's going on to players. Accordingly, following the Weekly Update is the easiest way for players to find out what's going on. I'm not sure what to think of someone who says that Bungie should do a better job of communicating, right before explaining that he ignores one of their principal methods for doing so.

When it's shown up in game. I know many people that don't use the forums/websites and only use in game text that is in the description of the item.
