First off. This is hands down my favorite subclass. But in no way is it OP. Here's why.
In pve your lightweight indestructible. But who doesn't want an indestructible tank on their team in pve? Plus the hammers don't do a boatload of damage on ultras so why would you think it's too good .
In pvp it's not OP either. In fact I think sun breaker is much less tanky than blade dancer when their super is popped. You might die from 1 hammer but the chances of you surviving a full super is slim when your near more than one person. Plus having to throw 2 hammers a kill would ruin this subclass. You get a max of 6 hammers with extended use. That's 3 kills MAX??? 4 hammers without the talent tree perk. So 2 kills. That's dumb.
And for all you claiming that "you can kill more if they are bunched up" please explain the first thing you do when you see a sun breaker... You boost up and away... So that does not qualify as a reason to nurf sun breaker.
Let me break it down since nobody has the ability to compare things.
Gunsliger
- 3 to 4 bullets
- Instant kill
- not dodge able
- can also aoe splash kill
- severe aim assist
- less delay between shots
- over penetrate
- no shield
Sun breaker
- 4-6 hammers
- delay between hammers thrown
- Instant kill
- slow moving hammers
- aoe splash
- shield only at the expense of 2 hammers and must stay inside a small sunspot
- dodge able
- slight to no shield? Not sure
Blade dancer
- dash for every swing
- double the shield
- health gain on kill
- instant kill
- more than 6 swings
- blink
- aoe compatabilty
Storm caller
- blink
- chains lightning
- large aoe
- increased movement speed
- no limit besides time
- kills on activation
- sith lord
-
Please either give a FANTASTIC reason why they need to be changed or leave your complain-a-post off the forum. Don't ruin this.

It's not op...who said it was??? Besides hunters can shutdown supers sooo...
-
3 RepliesThis DLC is not even 36 hours old and people are already crying for nerfs?
-
lol supers being op? who knew... why is this even a thing? all are op in their own right and still all can be stopped easily in a single clip of a gun in pvp...
-
1 ReplyFound the hunter guys.
-
1 ReplyIt's been one day. There isn't a single person who really knows what is or is not OP yet.
-
Bladedancer takes half damage. From what I've read, Sunbreaker takes less than half damage; therefore, they cannot be sniper out of super by Benevolence impact tier snipers. To me that means if you can't team shot, you have no choice but to run.
-
6 RepliesYou are wrong on half the stuff you listed For hunters ... Blade dancers get no shield Health gain is a perk on the tree use it and the super runs out faster reducing its time Golden Gun doesn't have aim and over penetrate its one or the other Now when defending sunbreaker you identified how you lose one perk for another so at least do the honourable thing and do the same for the other subclasses As for my own opinion ... No suoer needs nerfing exceptbm the ones I'm not using that day
-
1 ReplyHah. Enjoy being the new pariahs. Respectfully, Bladedancers
-
Edited by El Jefe: 9/16/2015 7:59:48 PMI'm not sure where you received your bladedancer info from but I've played that subclass far more than any other. THERE IS NO DOUBLE SHIELD. I can't even count how many times I've been one shotted by a shotgun or fusion rifle. I have no idea on the Sunbreaker, haven't tried it, but Bladedancer has no extra shield.
-
1 ReplyI agree sunbreaker seems fine to me but I haven't touched crucible yet of course either. People are screaming to nerf all new subclasses even though it's been less then two days! No doubt they're people who didn't buy taken king...
-
Gunslinger can have 1,3, or 4 golden gun shots
-
Nerf nerf nerf nerf. I'm spamming for a nerf, it's stupid op.
-
4 RepliesYou CAN dodge a gunslinger shot or if the Hunter is bad, he can MISS. And apparently the Sunbreaker has more overshield than a Bladedancer (seen a couple post complaing about how Sunbreaker can survive a Gunslinger super) I wouldn't know tho haven't played much crucible since ttk came out
-
It takes one shot from a sniper rifle or six from the MIDA to down someone using it, it's fine and i don't see a problem with it.
-
Bump. It's not OP. It's just new. And rather than adapt to something new the scrubs will be try to get it nerfed into oblivion. I have a better chance running from a Sunbreaker than I do a gunslinger.
-
2 RepliesThis is why we don't have nice things I cannot believe people are crying nerf on the hammers. My new favorite subclass is already being suggested to be nerfed thank you community.
-
1 ReplyEdited by iBurnToast: 9/16/2015 3:47:50 PMPeople already crying, this is why we cant have nice shit, cause you know its gonna hurt the pve players more than it helps you pvp people

1 ReplyWhile I agree with your statement I feel like you may want to revise you're post. Perhaps give statistics of other class supers. From my understanding the sun breaker super has the combat of a golden gun (you fire to kill) but it can AOE and has 4 to 6 over 3 to 4 so in my eyes the premises of the super is right where it needs to be. After all you can dodge a hammer but not a bullet.

It's about time the titans get a good subclass. I'm loving it. This forum community is absolute garbage. So it doesn't surprise me snowflakes think sunbreaker is op.
-
1 ReplyDude, your out of your -blam!-ing mind. It's so OP it makes a blade dancer look like a little school girl. In fact if you combined the gunslinger and the blade dancer supers they STILL wouldn't be as good.
-
I feel its fine
-
7 RepliesIs it true that they can survive a GG shot?
-
I feel its fine
-
My main is a Warlock, and I definitely don't feel sunbreaker op.
-
Titans deserve some love so stop bitching

10 RepliesJust from the description you gave, it does sound stronger than all other classes that do ranged Super damage, I.E. Voidwalkers and Gunslinger. But it should be left alone because that's okay.... Is that really your premise for this post's argument? :p
