Wow... I literally have 45 new items and I've only done the first 2 missions and I went on patrol for 30 minutes. Every piece is better than any of my other gear. I have yet to see how many perform... and of course Crucible is a whole other situation, but I am overblown with the items. Crazy!

After playing a bit with each character. And got a bunch of stuff. Better than what I have I spent a couple of hours making hard decisions on what to keep and what to delete. I've cleaned out each and cleaned the vault up. Still need another round of deleting but that will be down the road. It's nice to be excited about new stuff. So far this expansion has been worth it.
-
It took about 1 story mission and I didn't care about them anymore. I've already deleted most of it.

1 ReplyWhat old weapons?
-
I was using thorn last time i played destiny, i went to do the missions and it was the only gun i had, and its sick for pve, everything is a one shot kill crit or not because of the burn, wish it was going to year 2 and not for pvp either, hopefully it wont be long before it does come year 2
-
Yeah, I actually find myself hording blue and green gears until I can stop for a second to evaluate whether they will be secret keepers for crucible, instead of automatically sharding them like in the past.
-
lol I have and I've only done the first mission and got my new subclass.
-
I know I did...
-
I've yet to replace any weapon, highest light level weapon I got so far is like 185, and its not enough of a differemce to stop using my 170/160 weapons. I'm going pretty slowly through all the content unlike so many here who blow through everything in a week, I like to savor the moment. It'll probably be 2 or 3 weeks before I completely abandon all my old stuff (except in crucible).
-
Not me but slowly but surely it will
-
I got a sword and a hawkmoon What's a gally?
-
Not me... I'm way too attached to my weapons to spend $40 and have to grind all over again. Of course I play the game for FUN... not to have some npc tell me to get kills with my storm fist in exchange for his approval. I'm not his dog. I'll do what I want and use the weapons I want... Whatever... I do what I want!
-
1 ReplyI'm still holding on to my Gally, it feels weird having blue guns that are better than old legendary guns.
-
1 ReplyEdited by The Knight Aurora: 9/16/2015 1:58:26 PMused the hawkawesome throughout the story, then when the time came to kill oryx, I whipped out the old gally for the memories .
-
4 RepliesI have completed the story and several quests. Gotten a couple hundred engram drops. Nothing I have gotten yet even comes close to my previous gear. I almost wish I never played Destiny the previous year.
-
Still miss my vision, but I got a great new scout.
-
Had my trusty FB and Gjally on the first few story missions and it was good. Once I reached 38 and got a few nice guns, Gjally and FB were up in storage. Like others have said, it feels good using new, stronger weapons.
-
Yeah, I think they managed it pretty well actually. It was quite painless. Still hanging onto a few for sentimental (or crucible) reasons. I think it helps a lot that they did such a nice job on the new gear. I find the sound of the new Suros ARs to be very satisfying.
-
8 RepliesThe new uncommons are better than vanilla legendaries. Kinda have to move on
-
I did. As soon as you let go of old gear and weps, you feel so free with the new stuff. So many drops.
-
1 ReplyAlmost in a heartbeat. Its all about reseting the weapons so to introduce new ones. Change is good.
-
1 ReplyI wasn't happy at first, but I'm liking actually finding new, good items. It feels really fun again to find loot, rather than it always being just mats in weapon/armor form.
-
Still used Fatebringer till i was in the low 200's (210-215 or so). It still destroyed level 36-38 enemies with no problem.

1 ReplyAnyone gotten a tracking rocket yet!
