I don't care about reaching your level 40.. I don't care about having any of your "new" weapons. What I do care about is being able to play crucible, weeklies, nightfall, or Vangaurd strikes. Since I didn't buy TTK, even if j could do any of those things, what would be the point? There are no vendors selling anything I can obtain. Do you see the dilemma?
1 year ago I preordered a game, however nobody told me that one year later if I don't pay them 40 more bucks, then I might as well throw it in the garbage. It's the first step toward Pay to play

You do care, because you want to play the new strikes. Like I said, without such a level and Light, you wouldn't be able to play it anyway. You'd be stuck at level 34 with low gear, unable to survive anything in even the Daily. Either way, you wouldn't be able to play it. There is no dilemma, there's only progress. You can stick to playing vanilla and enjoy what you have now. Some story, a Raid and some crucible. That was in the original game and so you'll get the original endgame, which is VoG. Take it or leave it. It was said Destiny was a 10 year game. And just like WoW or any of such games, you'll need to get the new expansions to keep up with all content. It's been done for decades.

I'd rather pay $60 for a complete new game than shovel out 40 for a raid, 3 missions, and a few new weapons. I'd rather hold onto my money when I see a bad marketing scheme than be told in order to play my current game I have to pay 40 more dollars. I'm not mad. I'm fine with the TBD and HOW endgame.. But tell me, can I still do Eris missions that I paid for in TDB? Can I still do everything I could with HOW before TTK? These are honest questions because I've yet to loa the game up. If I can't still do that plus still play all the old crucible playlists that came with the game, then that right there is why I'm upset. It would be ignorant of me to be mad that I didn't receive something I refused to buy. If you believe that's why I'm upset then you are mistaken.

Then do so? Nobody is forcing you to stay and play half a game you don't want to expand. You can still do TDB bounties, just different ones. Those will be added later. You can still do everything from HoW. ToO has been removed temporarily. The Patrol events were and always have been temporarily, as it is with every DLC so far. You can still play all old Crucible maps in the Classic gametypes. All you are "locked out" from are the current Endgame contents. Those will always update alongside the DLC and will most likely lock people out who do not have said DLC. This is a common action for games with expansions.

Nobody is forcing me to play half a game, no. But who is forcing who to pay almost full retail price for an expansion that is about 4th of the game in it's entirety? Nobody is forcing me to play. But NONE of us are even here on these forums because we are forced to be here. If I am here it is because I enjoy playing the game. When something I enjoy is taken away at an unreasonable price, don't I hold that right to be upset? So as the consumer I Decline to expand, I am fine saving my money rather than falling into the same recycled trap. Therefore should I not retain the game as it was before TTK? You know, that 60 dollar investment.. I mean $100 investment?

Edited by xelon99: 9/15/2015 8:54:14 PMNobody as well. It's always your choice. Your opinion if its worth the money or not. But it's not your choice what content you can and can't play. Upset or not, it wont change. I do want to say that I strongly recommand to get it. I'm not even 10% through but so far it's been just new content, several new areas and cinematics and voice acting which is the better Bungie quality again.
