Other accounts cant access taken king on console that it was bought in

Having exact same issue. Bought The Taken King Digital Collectors (moved from disc to digital) on my sons account. But can't access the content at all on my account on the same console. We shared Destiny disc + two expansions just fine before (and also both got the same digital rewards like the Tumbler sparrow). WTF is going on??? Activision/Bungie needs to issue a statement as to whats going on here and how they are fixing it, or when we get our money back.

*sigh* Had the same issue. My girlfriend could not play Taken King after I bought and downloaded it on our console. My account could play fine, but when she logged in on that same console a short while after I was done playing for the day, she had to buy it again. Unfortunately as we both really wanted to play, we did go ahead and buy it again as we didn't see any other solution to this at the time. So did we really just pay twice for a game that as someone else stated everybody on that same first console should have had access to the same as every other game we've bought for our Xbox 360? Seriously? I know it was our mistake to buy twice, but that shouldn't have even been an issue in the first place. Right now, we are both pretty determined we won't be buying any future Destiny downloads because of this issue. Completely disappointed in Bungie and to a certain extent Microsoft and very disillusioned right now. Or whoever it was that created this issue with buying and playing it. Kinda confused as to who it is that's at fault here, but really annoyed and disappointed over the whole thing.

It's nice to know that I'm not the only one with this issue. I'll be sure to try CaptainKrnch262's temporary fix tomorrow. I just really hope this is fixed ~ Along with every other issue everyone is experiencing ~ Especially those without TTK due to the fact that previously owned content was removed ~ Really sucks man

I found a temporary fix, here are the steps that i did to make TTK work on other accounts on the same console.this is for Xbox 360 only dont know if it works for other consoles you need two controllers for this to work.... 1st log in into xbox360 with first controller and account that purchased TTK 2nd use second controller to log in second account that is unable to access TTK content 3rd start destiny with second account while leaving 1st account signed in .you should be able to access TTK content with second account this is a temporary fix . Do not log out the first account .This is a temporary fix and hopefully it helps until xbox and bungie can fix this .

I defendend Bungie and Destiny for a year against all the haters, never stopped playing and believing to this unfinished game and never doubted that you will success eventually but this, forcing our sub accounts to pay another 40$ just tu unlock the content that our primary accounts already have access to, is just a -blam!-ıng bullshıt. If this problem won't fix Bungie I am sorry but you will lose a loyal player. BUMP

You made all the other DLC sharable and then you announce this game-changing, mind exploding DLC that'll change the whole way everyone plays Destiny, and then you just gotta get all greedy and shit on everyone's excitement by letting us all figure out that we have to buy the DLC for each of our accounts, and this DLC is twice the price of all the other ones!!!!! My brother and I, loved Destiny, we would take turns playing and watching each other because all we have is the one 360, now that I've seen this mess of a release I'm not so sure I want to be apart of it anymore, unless of course you make it sharable again like everyone expected it to be. I always thought Bungie was better than all those other money hungry companies, I thought Bungie actually enjoyed making fantastic, out of this world games for the people who play them, but I guess I was wrong. I sincerely hope you change this wrong doing Bungie, You'll lose a lot more than you'll gain!

2 RepliesSince i am currently living out of the US (and my account is American) i have to buy all my DLC with another local account due to region and coin issues. Never had a problem in the past. Now that i find out that only that secondary account i use to purchase would have been the only one to access TTK i am relieved to not have wasted my money on content i would have been excluded from.
