1 ReplyI used to think I hated her cause just the way she acted at times...she sometimes acted childish and it was her road or the highway. Over the last few months or longer we started getting along better and we talked just about random things. When she died I realized I loved her a lot and I would miss her greatly.

I used to hate my mother for being an awful mother. Abusing, neglecting and so on. But the last 6 years she's changed so much and is one of the best moms around. Although she did horrible things, I still love her with all I got.

I don't talk much to my mom but if someone hurt her I'd kill them. If/when she dies I'd be a violent wreck. I do love my mother but I'm too much of an emotional cripple to show it.

8 RepliesMy sisters boyfriend is a douche and I never really liked him (hes like 17). Hes disrespectful of her and does shit that pisses me off... but his mom just died 2 weeks ago from a prescription overdose... so now I feel bad for him and I don't even know what to think. Just felt like sharing

Didn't sort myself out until my wife, who was my girlfriend at the time, got pregnant. Only problem was I didn't speak to my parents at all in that time. I moved in with my sister until I was 16 when I joined the army. I didn't speak to my parents until my wife arranged it a year after leaving the forces, 2 days after my 29th birthday. We talked ever few weeks but I lived quite a distance away so we didn't see them much, my mum had cancer so couldn't travel. 2 years after we started talking she died so I didn't make up for the time we lost. I never really got to know her properly and I never mae amends for all the times I was a prick to them. Even after that I still barely speak to my dad, maybe once every couple of months for a 3 minute phone call. For the record, I never hated my parents. I was just in with the wrong crowd and started drinking and fighting at a young age and we clashed a lot but it was all on me. They tried, I didn't want any of it. I regret a lot.
