To all against Nolan North
He is a human being and all you guys do is bash him repeatedly calling him gay like he doesn't have feelings. I'm surprised to see the amount of public support cyber bullying has in this forum. It is truly despicable behavior and I am SO disappointed in the Destiny community. You were not satisfied insulting each other's weapons, subclasses and, tactics, as well as stats. NO. Now you have the nerve to insult someone who is working hard and doing his best to give you a good game. Desmond Miles and Nathan Drake... That is Nolan North he has created them from the script to life... It is disturbing to see your animosity toward such an amazing actor. Whether he is gay or not doesn't matter he deserves respect. There is no excuse for this level of rampant cyber bullying. Now I hope this thread trends because North not only deserves respect, he deserves someone in his corner. If you agree please help this post to trend. If you don't... I'm disgusted with the idea of being the same species as you.

I think what issue is that we actually liked Dinklage and we are realizing that with the new Voice. Not only that but we realize the Peter Dinklage wasn't bad it was the game lines that were given that make it sound bad, it also doesn't help with how the Nolan portrayed the Ghost. But I ultimately don't think we will see Nolan Norths true Ghost until TTK because all we have of him right now is him repeating lines of another actor that portrayed the ghost better than we actually realized. All the hate towards Nolan North isn't because of the change of voice but how he portraying the old lines, he put a little too much excitement or he got stoned before recording lol. We have yet to see his true potential and that potential is only as great as the lines he will get to record, we can only hope Bungie didn't repeat the issue we had with Dinklage as the Ghost and hope they gave Nolan better line for TTK. TTK is where we will truly get to see Nolan's take on the ghost.

I finally heard him last night. The sound itself was decent, but they shouldnt have just replaced all of dinklebot. A real simple scene in which it shows us losing our ghost, and the speaker presenting us with our new and improved ghost would have been nice. Then it would be dinklebot all the way through, till you hit ttk and north takes over. Doing the nightfall last night seemed wrong without dinklebots hilariously phoned in performance.

2 RepliesI'm not against gay people at all ( my brother is gay ) but I hate it when people use the word homophobe, using gay as an insult does not mean that person is afraid of homosexuals, it doesn't mean they don't like them either. I have many friends who call someone a dick or a pussy or a jew or gay. And it doesn't mean they hate or are afraid of those things. It's just something people say. It was at first meant that way but now it's just been added to the chart of bad words without meaning. Like shit or -blam!-. It's just annoying when you say homophobic. They most likely don't have a phobia of homosexuals, and they might not have any thing against gay people they might just be using it as a word like any other curse word and don't take care to look at the meaning behind it when they say it. Therefore OP is an idiot. And Nolan north is shit. Idc if he's being cyber bullied. He should've listened to it himself and been like wow I sound bad I'm not gonna put this out on the Internet. You stick your dick in a box full of knives it's gonna get cut. People need to grow some skin and stop being so sensitive. Nolan north also needs to stop sounding like a frightened 8 year old, or he could let his balls drop.

You think he's getting his feelings hurt because people on a forum are criticizing his work? I bet he hasn't even seen a word of it. Besides that, you do work in the public eye, you'd better be thick skinned enough to deal with critics. It's not like everyone grouped up to say he's awful when he didn't put himself out there. People have bad vocabularies. They mean effeminate. It kinda sucks that everyone uses the word gay instead, but we should probably all realize that's what they mean and be over thinking that they're directly attacking actual gays by now. His performance does suck at more places than Peter's did, IMO. I'm hoping they spent more time on the new lines in TTK content. Waiting to find out. I definitely hoped what I've heard would be better than it has been. I think he got bad direction, so I don't [i]really[/i] blame him.

I think Nolan is an outstanding voice actor. Awesome job as Nathan Drake. However, I am Not a fan of him as the ghost. My main gripe is its too similar to "guilty spark."
