To all against Nolan North
He is a human being and all you guys do is bash him repeatedly calling him gay like he doesn't have feelings. I'm surprised to see the amount of public support cyber bullying has in this forum. It is truly despicable behavior and I am SO disappointed in the Destiny community. You were not satisfied insulting each other's weapons, subclasses and, tactics, as well as stats. NO. Now you have the nerve to insult someone who is working hard and doing his best to give you a good game. Desmond Miles and Nathan Drake... That is Nolan North he has created them from the script to life... It is disturbing to see your animosity toward such an amazing actor. Whether he is gay or not doesn't matter he deserves respect. There is no excuse for this level of rampant cyber bullying. Now I hope this thread trends because North not only deserves respect, he deserves someone in his corner. If you agree please help this post to trend. If you don't... I'm disgusted with the idea of being the same species as you.

don't get me wrong. I do like his voice acting for this ghost I just prefer Peter Dinklage. Well for a few lines I prefer Noland's recording.

Now the light of traveler sounds like a piece of shit...DINKLEBOT COME BACK!! What was the point even to change the ghost, I can barely tolerate listening to it. For christs sake, Nolan North..I already hear him in enough games and Im sick of it. Least dinklebot was a different voice that wasnt heard 100000 times.

I understand exactly what you are saying. I respect Nolan as an actor, I've seen him play a few roles (mainly deadpool). But I prefer Dinklage. Not cause he's the original or anything, but because I thought Dinklage really fit the role of the ghost, and he did amazing (entirely my opinion)! That's my reasoning for wanting Dinklage back, he suits the role so much better.

I think this community will never be truly happy with anything Bungie does for the game. The ghost could be voiced by Morgan Freeman's and Maya Angelou's first born son and people would still bitch.

1 ReplyHis acting is flat, high-pitched, annoying, flamboyant beyond measure, and in every way worse than Dinklage. Which is not to whine about Dinklage being replaced, that was a necessary move, his scheduling was far too erratic. But the idea of replacing a voice actor should be an oppertunity for improvement. Nolan is talented, his repertoire speaks for itself. But he does not lend his talents to Ghost. Not in the least. This could also be the fault of whatever voice coach or voice director was being used, but that's all apeculation. What is not speculation is that, at the very least, the re-recorded lines performed by Nolan were [b][i]NOT[/i][/b] an improvement over Dinklage. Robot, light, whatever the case may be, a Ghost should not sound like that. Period.
