That omolon field test sniper...
Is probably the WORST weapon I've used in this game. Holy shit I can't stand using it, why is every other sniper so much better.
Idk, it's just something about it. Feels very clunky to me. Curious as to how other guardians feel about this one.
Oh, and it does 100 (even less at long range, wtf is up with the damage falloff?) to the body. Pathetic damage for how pathetic it performs.
To those of you claiming that "they're just test weapons", I understand. They're not supposed to be amazing. However, this particular sniper just felt awkward to use. All of the other test weapons seemed perfectly usable to me, just not this one

Edit 2: I KNOW IT'S COMMON/TEST WEAPON, YOU DON'T NEED TO KEEP POSTING THAT. I'm not trying to argue that it should be an amazing weapon, I'm fully aware of how the armsday system works. I'm simply saying that this one just seemed less usable than the others for me.
Edit 3: Basically I just wish I had the intervention from Modern Warfare 2 in this game XD. What's your favorite sniper from any game that you wish you could have in Destiny?

1 ReplyIt was awesome at mid range. Two shots to the body kill and the rate of fire is amazing. I got more kills from body shots than headshots.

10 RepliesEveryone saying they love it are a bunch of liars trying to showoff. That sniper is terrible. It doesn't compare to the other legendary snipers in the game such as Praedyth's, Her Benevolence, Veil, Longbow and LDR so for you to say you love it seems really farfetched with those snipers in retrospect. If you loved that POS sniper then you must be -blam!-ing obsessed and crazy over the others..

You get much better results if you aim for the head. Otherwise it's slightly less effective than shooting spitwads.

I like sniper rifles with a medium rate of fire and medium impact. I believe this one has a higher rate of fire with slightly less impact. Not entirely different, and it's only a test gun, so I hope there's something that's a bit closer to what I'm looking for.

If you aim for the head, it's much easier. Stick with Praedyth's if you're one of those guys that likes to body shot

I actually really liked the sniper and found it pretty easy to get head shots. It also had a pretty decent rate of fire.

I actually had no problem with it...liked it better than the other test sniper in any case. Just hope the scopes arent all like that though, or I'd have to put off sniping for a while. Can't see anything out of them
