That omolon field test sniper...
Is probably the WORST weapon I've used in this game. Holy shit I can't stand using it, why is every other sniper so much better.
Idk, it's just something about it. Feels very clunky to me. Curious as to how other guardians feel about this one.
Oh, and it does 100 (even less at long range, wtf is up with the damage falloff?) to the body. Pathetic damage for how pathetic it performs.
To those of you claiming that "they're just test weapons", I understand. They're not supposed to be amazing. However, this particular sniper just felt awkward to use. All of the other test weapons seemed perfectly usable to me, just not this one

Edit 2: I KNOW IT'S COMMON/TEST WEAPON, YOU DON'T NEED TO KEEP POSTING THAT. I'm not trying to argue that it should be an amazing weapon, I'm fully aware of how the armsday system works. I'm simply saying that this one just seemed less usable than the others for me.
Edit 3: Basically I just wish I had the intervention from Modern Warfare 2 in this game XD. What's your favorite sniper from any game that you wish you could have in Destiny?

Think of it, instead, as a prototype and it needs a proper field test with your data input. Kind of like Iron Man's Mark I, the Iron Monger. Down the line, you'll get more improved versions. Personally, I'm not a fan of using snipers in Crucible and did not get that sniper for testing. Oh well.

We just did the nightfall with solar burn and the Hakke test sniper and my friends said it one shot headshot, don't believe them tho

It's not bad if you just get headshots with it. Finished it on 2 of my characters yesterday and finished it on the 3rd today in a single game of Rumble.

The Hakke sniper in crucible was worse for me

1 ReplyI actually loved it. I enjoyed having a different ridicule and I enjoyed feeling invisible when not a single other player could kill me in a duel. I wish more snipers were like it to give the game an actual skill-gap rather than running praedyths (my fav) LDR etc and a slew of other weapons with no ability required. ... But that's far above the mental capacity of this forum.

I really like it, I even use it after I completed. You're rank 1 (possibly rank 0) i'm assuming the higher your rank the better the field test weapons get? Going from common to rare etc. Just a presumption.

2 RepliesIDK about you guys but my enemies seemed to just drop dead whenever I got a headshot with it... On a serious note, I liked it. Sure, it doesn't compare as well to the year 1 legendaries because it is a WHITE weapon, but it handled pretty well for me. I prefer it over the Hakke.

1 ReplyIt was awesome at mid range. Two shots to the body kill and the rate of fire is amazing. I got more kills from body shots than headshots.
