From what I've been told either plugging in straight ethernet to your xbox should make it quicker also of you have a ps4 put it in sleep mode, Fear not! It's not your connection! Millions are trying to download at once.
Everyone you may need to just let it do its thing my recommendation is to restart your xbox pause and unpause it.
Swapping the Ip settings seemed to help me go way quicker.

8 RepliesListen to my comment ASAP! Change your DNS for WAYYYY faster download speeds. (Works best with this) Primary 8.8.8.8 Secondary 8.8.4.4 I was stuck on 70% for 1 entire hour, and from 70% to 100% in just 10 minutes when I changed DNS!

Only at 10 out of the 17 gb's. So that's pretty sweet.

It took me 8hrs. 9pm-5am started it when I went to bed and it was finished when I got up this morning.

I started at 0200 (if thats when the pacific patch kicked in) and it has 110mins left at 21:38....lol. I used to think my net was pretty good but I have since been corrected

Ducking shit dumb. Been downloading on a wired connection for 10 hours. Couldnt of realeased on the reset. Had to wait till peak times. Been at 93% for 30 mins what the -blam!-

20% in 5 or so hours and I went to bed. The xbox one turned itself off in the night, only showing 81%. Definittly not a good way to start my year 2 experience.

I just woke up after 6 hours of downloading to only see my instillation stopped after I turned off my Xbox which doesn't normally happen. Not only do I have crap internet but I was at 9% after 6 hours, and I just missed out on 6 more... Kill me now

It's trying to download Compatibility Pack 5 and 6. I'm not going to buy a bigger drive just for Destiny. Total BS that they can't write software that checks for drive space first.
