So who is going to ruin it for themselves by reaching level 40 on 15th?
Edit: 6 levels in one day. Is it possible when it comes out?
Edit 2: I guess the proof will be in the pudding. I get that most stuff is playable at and after lvl 40. Let's hope it really is worth it!
Edit 3: I didn't envisage the response this thread would. Nor did I know the raid would be out three days later. Still, wonder how Bungie want us to play this game.
I imagine a lot of people are going to try and become lvl 40 day one of TTK.
To those who do I say you are silly and foolish. Don't moan there's fuk all to do till the raid drops because you ranked too quickly.

Idk but I'll have 16 bounties, factions edged and hopefully some sidequests ready to turn in.

I am in no rush. It will probably take me a few months to reach level 40 -- as it did when going from 32 to 34.

I won't ruin it. Keep in mind light and Lvl are different now so that's like says getting to Lvl 20 ruined things, reaching Lvl 40 will just unlock new gear and activities.

Well you have to think it took about 7 hours to run through the story and hit level 20 before this AND this time we are only going 6 levels with bounties xp and focused light so I don't think it is going to be a grind to 40 nor do I think they want it to be.

Well, with the 10 bounties of 5000 xp that I'll have stored up and about 15 public event packages. And a focused light. It should only take about 2 min to Lv up to 40 for my first character.

Even if you level up to 40 in a day, you also need a certain light level which will probably be a grind.

I have 3 different characters I won't play all of them on the 15th and I ain't stacking bounties like a noob who's Ganna cry saying it didn't take that long to level up

I'll be saving up bounties until my slots are full. The. Go unlock my new subclasses and turn them all in with focused light on. Should give me a nice experience boost 😊

2 RepliesWhat the fock do you expect people to do? Walk around the tower while holding their dicks in their hand? You'll reach level 40 day1 just by playing the game in a normal way. ITS Now About getting the high light level gear. Levels are just exp. Dumb ass -blam!-.

EL. OH. EL. Ain't gonna rush shit. I rushed TDB and HoW, and I honestly do regret it because I was burned out within the first 3 weeks for HoW, and 5 weeks for TDB I've learned what has been taught to me. I'm not gonna make the same mistake with this DLC. I sure as hell am not gonna burn through a DLC worth 40$ in less than a month.

For me, the fun in the game is from collecting new armor and weapons. Reaching the level cap is just what you need to do before you can do that to the fullest extent. And if they have as many new pieces of gear as they said they do, then I'm sure I'll have plenty to keep me busy.

I'll try it, but I also think that it won't be possible on day 1. Sidenote: It definetely won't be ruined for me when I hit lvl 40 fast.
