No Raid When TTK Launches
Folks, Luke Smith just announced with IGN that King's Fall will not be available when TTK launches and they'll announce when at a later date!
What are your thoughts?
Edit 1: The announcement is made in the last three minutes of the video.
Edit 2: Such great dialogue regarding the announcement as we trend in less than two hours! Thank you Guardians!
Edit 3: Bungie had tweeted the new raid, King's Fall, is completed and will launch on the heels of TTK.
Edit 4: King's Fall, the new raid in TTK, launches 9/18 at 10am PST.

5 RepliesI would be okay with this, but unless I missed something, I think people are forgetting something. All endgame content will be locked until we defeat Oryx. Since that Raid will be delayed, Nightfalls and other endgame content will be locked until it's released! Please, someone tell me I missed something!

Pretty happy about this,TTK has a lot of changes coming and I would like to enjoy the story and learn how to use the new subclasses and learn everything new before i drop into the raid :)

Its a good thing. Maybe the raid will be sold as a DLC hahaha

Yeah, most sensible people assumed this would be the case anyway. It's what they did with VoG so it shouldn't be a surprise to anyone.

10 RepliesHmm so no one should be lev 40 on day 1. I'm guessing you probably have to be lev 39 at min to attempt the Kings Fall raid.

Makes sense to me. Let them release this expansion and wait a couple of weeks. Then release the King's Fall normal mode. Then wait a month and release hard mode. By the time people have had 4 weeks of fun on hardode and are starting to feel the burn you've squeezed 10 weeks of attention out of people and you start promoting the next expansion. For us it gives us a longer burn on the content and it leaves us with the feeling of progression we wouldn't get if we were doing the raid day 1.

4 RepliesNot only that... but no Nightfalls or Weekly Heroic until 40. Awesome! Thanks for removing options and forcing me to grind to get the ability to do stuff I've always been able to do... These devs are the most community hating group I've ever encountered. At least the feeling is mutual.

VoG wasnt released same day as vanilla destiny, so im really not that bothered.

Didnt they do this with both vog and crotas end? Albeit crotas end released the day later i think it was

I'm fine with that, all that would happen is we would all end up scrambling to max out our rank so we could get to the raid.

Oh cool, gives me a chance to become a world first raid team. Not like it's gonna happen, but I have the chance to. [spoiler]in all honesty though I feel that this will be pretty dang great for the world first teams. The way they did it with TDB required a person to reach Lv31 in order to beat Crota. It was crazy. They will at least have some time to prepare for the big boss[/spoiler]

Good, make it so that all competitive players have the same starting point for the raid and slowness in anything else doesn't stop them.
