Turned off notifications but the globe up top with the constant 50, no matter how often I check it, is bothering me. So I've edited this away. You guys are -blam!-ing retards.

It's not overlooked, it's just not a big deal. It's not Bungies fault you don't have a bigger hard drive...
-
I have a 500 GB console, and I still install games on my 1TB external harddrive. HD space is cheap these days. Your whining about being a poor is falling on deaf ears.
-
It is an annoying thing to be told this close to TTK release. But old Xbox 360 hard drives can be bought for as little as ~£15 ($20-25). If someone can afford TTK, they can afford a second hand hard drive.
-
Some xbox360 systems don't even have hard drives. 4GB internal. I don't think you can play on those systems at all? PS3 launched with 60gb and 20gb hard drives in 2006. Expecting an "online" game in 2015 to be restricted to specs from 9 years ago is not reasonable. I expect the next destiny release won't even support PS3 and Xbox 360. Dragons Age already dropped dlc support for those systems. At least destiny is even making it available. Ps3 hard drives easily upgrade with 2.5" laptop drives. You can even recycle an old used laptop drive. If you are not updating to ps4 or xbone then upgrading your hard drive is not unreasonable.
-
My ps3 has 500GB on it.....I didn't even ask for that much either.

1 ReplyDude this whole thread is embarrassing. If one of my kids married someone and I gave my son in law my janky handmedown xbox 360 and then they just couldn't ever use it because try couldn't be bothered to invest in a bigger hard drive, I sure as fvck wouldn't make a thread about it. Are you proud that your son in law is such a lame that this is apparently an insurmountable issue for both you and him? This being the guy who is supposed to be taking care of your child as in their spouse? Good lord dude. Either invest in a hard drive or a new system. Shit, bungie even linked to resources to file a claim for lack of hard drive purposes so your son in law might not even have to go out of pocket. What were you doing with that thing before, playing peggle and sudoku? Sheeyit.

Omg you can get a 500gb ps3/xbox360 cheap so stop whining like a little btch destiny is a big game and bu ngie did say there would be plenty of upcoming dlcs expansions i had a 120gb ps3 which was rammed it had less then 20gb space coz of fallout and gt5 etc so i went out and got 500gb ps3 problem solved i could now play destiny and start grinding

Edited by monkyken: 8/28/2015 3:40:45 PMYou can upgrade the HD fairly cheaply, yes I agree with you they should have informed people of this fact before releasing the Pre orders. I can only suggest save and upgrade your console or save and upgrade the HD on the system. Yes it sucks but unfortunately they are the available options to you. Other possible options would potentially include buying a used replacement drive (ebay is your friend) for not to much and just crack on with it.
-
1 ReplyEdited by Sun Valley King: 8/28/2015 3:24:13 PMYou can get a 500GB hard drive for like $45.
-
That sucks man, but keep in mind that players with 20GB hard drives are definitely a very small minority of destiny's player base. Bungie isn't able to release all of the upcoming new material without taking up more space on a hard drive. I suggest searching eBay or a similar site, I'm sure you can find a reasonably price higher capacity hdd online somewhere. Good luck.

Most of you seem to be kids who just have your parents disposable incomes.
"They're not poor like me so they must be children" Make better life choices OP.

Sorry to hear that you don't have enough space on you system. But in honesty, this is no ones fault but yourself. Every game and almost every thing you buy has some sort of requirement and it is your responsibility to know that requirement before purchasing. I know not everyone are financially stable to upgrade or buys anything they want but Even when buying a toaster, the requirement is for you to have a wall socket to plug it into and also the right current to operate it. Destiny requirements are shown on the back of the game case and in the descriptions when purchasing digitally. Plus it does say 20gb are larger just for the vanilla destiny. So that should have been your red flag. Anyways, sorry that you won't be joining us.

So we are losing about 1 player
you

seriously who the hell Ives their child a used up console that's shitty anyways? You should have upgraded by now.
The fact that you're complaining about a problem that honestly I have never heard of until you brought this up is stupid ahah. Anyways have a nice day op playing MINECRAFT on a used up console
-
20 gig systems are close to ten years old. did you really think they'd hold up?
-
Not updating everyone to 2.0.0 would make 2 different games. And we all know old gen would he left to die after that. No updates after that, you would be playing this exact game until it died.
-
1 ReplyIf you can't afford playing the game maybe it's not the best idea for you to play. Maybe instead you should go look for jobs or a better paying job if you already have one just saying

"Here in my garage..."

They waited just NINETEEN (19) DAYS BEFORE release to tell you this.
You're -blam!-ing retarded if you expected to fit Destiny and TTK in under 20gb. I don't feel bad for you OP, you're getting mad a Bungie for some stupid shit that you should have had in mind a long time ago. "bu...but bungie shoulda told me..." Do the human race a favor and take yourself out of our gene pool.
-
You cant even install vanilla destiny on a 20 gb harddrive why the hell would you even get a 20 gb system. You are just asking to give yourself the middle finger...
-
If you have a 20 gb system and you have destiny and the expansions then you already don't have much space left! Is it rocket science to assume that the new expansion will take up more space? YOU'RE A FREAKIN IDIOT! THEY WAITED THIS LONG TO GIVE OUT SPACE REQUIREMENTS CAUSE TTK IS ALMOST DONE NOW AND THEY GOT A MORE ACCURATE FIGURE OF SIZE REQUIREMENTS! THE GAME WAS STILL IN DEVELOPMENT EARLIER, SO HOW COULD THEY GIVE YOU A SIZE? DID YOU THINK TTK WASN'T GOING TO TAKE ANY HARD DRIVE SPACE?!? EXACTLY! Fu*kin idiot
-
Pretty sure they posted the system requirements for ttk when it was announced. Like they do with every game. I'm sure because I remember thinking damn I'll have to make room for this (60gb harddrive and a 20gb flash on 360). so don't blame bungie for your mistake of not taking the time to read essential information and preparing adequately

Edited by Money Collector: 8/28/2015 3:23:08 PMHere we go again I bet activision are going to start a online store for buying usbs with the destiny logo on it

1 ReplyThis proves old gen consoles should not have current gen games
-
Enough with the whining already. Get a bigger HD or a current gen console.
-
Oh no! The expansion requires SPACE IN THE HARD DRIVE? Wow Bungie, why can't you just make the expansion one megabyte? Thanks a lot.
