Nightfalls Now Level 40? Help Me Understand.
So now we cannot do the Weekly Nightfall Strike until we are level 40?? We may not be level 40 until several weeks/months into TTK. How the heck does this make any sense at all? Please help me understand.

If you have more than 10 public events package and 10 5,000 XP bounties you will be 38-39, probably 40 if you have focused lights.

8 RepliesTo those saying getting to level 40 will be quick, that might be, but what makes the nightfall easy is the burns and your weapons with the matching burns. How many of those burn weapons will you have when you are able to do the 40 nightfall? Not very many I expect.

It's been confirmed that if you're 34 now, you'll be 34 when TTK launches. With the number of quests and bounties available I bet a decent number of people will be 40 on day 1, albeit their gear won't be top tier yet.

I doubt it will take long to get to 40 assuming you are lvl 34 right now. Do public events and leave the pkg u get with the postmaster. Save up completed bounties. I think most people will be able to have all 3 characters to lvl 40 within a week. Maybe even a couple days.

It probably takes just a few hours to get to level 40. Obviously it depends on your current standing. But exp-info in Destiny is a joke honestly. I'm used to needing to get 60,000-80,000 exp for a single level. It won't be bad.

1 ReplyThe only problem some will have (myself included) is actually finding someone to do nightfall with or any end game content. With people being excluded for not having certain loadouts or for whatever reason it will be hard for some still.

We're going to have to work for tier 1 rewards...people please quit complaining, you want the same experience every DLC? Any end game content in Destiny should take work, the last 2 DLC's you could jump right into NF and not even blink at the difficulty of it. It's too easy, I want a -blam!-ing challenge!

Leveling is xp-based now. It shouldn't take but so long this time

You are looking at it the wrong way. They are basically telling us that getting to level 40 from 34 will only take a few days. Maybe a week at the most for the average player. Look at it like this. 1. They removes the xp boost on Nf 2. Weekly xp traded for strike runs. 3. They gave many players extra focused light 4. They offered focused light boost as a side extra They have made it very clear that the grind to 40 will be short.

7 Repliesit took a whole 2 hours to hit 34 when How dropped and that was 2 levels. Now it is 6 levels and a new progression system so I am guessing it will take about 8-10 hours of play to get your main up to the new max. Even if it takes a couple days, (which I doubt considering they are making the game too causual friendly, IMO) everyone will still be able to do nightfall within the first week...... AND they are making to even easier to do nightfall with the whole not being kicked to orbit thing. I would think most people could do the nightfall at lv40 even if they are still only lv34 on the characters. Most of us could solo them all as it is now, and with a team of 3 it will be a walk in the park

TTK requires story mode completion to access end game content. Maybe, just MAYBE, TTK story mode will allow for linear progression to level 40. Complete story mode... Hey! Level 40!
