So now we cannot do the Weekly Nightfall Strike until we are level 40?? We may not be level 40 until several weeks/months into TTK. How the heck does this make any sense at all? Please help me understand.

25 RepliesA better question is: Why even call it a nightfall anymore if they're taking away the return to orbit (aka nightfall) modifier? Bungie is going casual with TTK.
-
You think it'll take several weeks or months to go from 34 to 40? How many hours did it take to go from 1-20?
-
13 RepliesPro tip: Save Iron Wrath bounty which is 10k experience. You can turn it into the crucible guy after iron banner.
-
Level 40 should take a few days, yea, but hardly weeks.
-
End game content. We shouldn't be able to play until we are AT the end... Lol
-
First off, unless you're a new player who won't use the boost, it will not take that long at all to get to 40. Hell, it doesn't even take that long to get from 1-20 if you power level. Secondly, nightfalls are an endgame activity, it makes sense that it requires max level to do.

The amount of XP it takes to hit next level now is 80k. If you max out your postmaster with public event rewards (100k), max out bounty slots with 5k bounties (50k), and throw a focused light on top of that (bump 50%), you could get 225k in one shot, which would get you to 37 almost immediately. This is of course a big assumption that TTK will also be 80k (could be more, or less) to hit next level...I guess that's tbd. Can anyone confirm this now?

2 RepliesPeople act as though they have any concept of how much exp it will require to reach level 40 when they are skipping 14 levels. For all they know it could take 5 million points for Level 35.
-
You're 6 Levels away.. Even with "responsibilities" I dont think that would take long at all. Unless you're slow as -blam!-.

It's amazing to me that gamers are complaining about having to play a game. Bungie should have a game bundle called "ultimate feels edition." It would be a hard copy of a game case and when you got it home and opened it, it would have a little note that read: you win. Congratulations." That would totally solve the problem of when you, the unhappy gamer, are "forced" to play the game. Pay your money. You win. Next game. But then, you wouldn't have anything to whine about I guess, so you'd probably have THAT to complain about then. #saltforever

Bungie states.. After playing all TTK story missions, you will likely be at level 40. A couple hours of gameplay. That's it.
-
If it takes you months to reach level 40 you probably suck anyway.
-
MONTHS😂😂
-
Who cares, you won't be booted to orbit anymore.
-
They are making the game last longer my making us work of the same content we have already unlocked!! ISN'T IT JUST SO AWESOME!!!!!

Edited by LeatherneckZero351: 8/29/2015 7:22:58 PMIf it takes you months, you're the definition of scrub

It's pretty simple, nightfall level designation has always equaled the max level we could get to with vendor armor. Now that max level 40 can be achieved without raid armor, it has been set at that level. Makes perfect sense. I don't get the uproar.

End game content, requires higher level to do

1 ReplyMost everyone will be starting at level 34. 40-34=6. That's only six levels until level 40. Won't take long.
-
7 RepliesYou wanting everything in the game in the first day or two? Maybe you should clear up your schedule or something. Relax. Enjoy life brah. Speeding things up will only hurry up death brah.
-
3 RepliesLol weeks? Try like a couple days. You'll be doing the first weeks nightfall by the end of the week. We only have to gain 4 levels. You probably get that doing story missions and new strikes and bounties.
-
20 RepliesYou HAVE to do the raid first as well!
-
Exp level 40
-
5 RepliesI'm going to be level 40 in an hour. Now I am going to mute you.
-
"Weeks or months" what? Lol maybe like a week. I bet we'll get level 40 just by completing the story missions and maybe the strikes.
-
Uh you'll be level 40 but the time you finish the story I would expect.
