Whether through infusion or upgrading old exotics using shards, we need to be able to take old exotics into the Taken King. They are the hardest items to obtain and they have nerfs incoming that won't matter when they aren't going to be used anymore anyway. We've worked hard to farm for these weapons and armor and you're making some of them worthless. Yeah, we can still use them in year one mission, but those will be just as easy to get through with year 2 weapons and as such who will be using lower level equipment when it will slow down the combat? I don't mind legendaries being left behind, but these are exotics. Bring them forward or you may as well restrict them to pvp only.
