This is a legitimate question. Destiny started development around 2008 so obviously they came up with these things first. They've got FoH (ruin smash I think) golden gun, and self res. the bo3 multiplayer isn't very good and it's basically AW with quite a few destiny elements. I even saw a fusion rifle in the game. I'll get it to play with friends but that's the only reason.
Edit: fixed development date

2 RepliesEdited by UnwanteDreamz: 8/22/2015 2:32:04 PMYou know how many scifi movies and books Destiny ripped off? I haven't seen an original idea in the entire game.
-
1 ReplyVahn plays a lot of destiny so he might have gotten some inspiration for the game.
-
4 RepliesThere are no original AAA games. If you want innovation or originality go check out the indie scene. That's where you'll find the gameplay features that will start showing up in big budget games a year or two down the road.
-
5 RepliesLol Destiny was planned even before Halo.
-
Cause COD is Activision.
For realz.
-
7 RepliesIt took them 6 years to develop and still we got cut content? My God..
-
Because activision owns both of them
-
3 RepliesAfter titanfall, everyone started adding "z" axis. See COD AW. They are copying features that work and attract new players. Destiny is one of the most popular games out. Makes sense that they would copy features from a successful title.
-
Destiny has good aspects in its game. that's why. The game itself is quite boring now. but the supers are cool
-
18 RepliesBut destiny copied halo first so why doesn't activision sue bungie?
-
They can't come up with anything original and had to steal again. They wouldn't be anything without halo in the first place.
-
Destiny did well in the market (to say the least) so cod went in the same direction. I think bo3 will be a great game.
-
50 RepliesCopy is such a strong a word.. Maybe destiny influenced some aspects of BO3 like every other game you see shit from different games, But on a serious note BO3 will be better than destiny ever was, Destiny has potential but bungie are taking it no were.
-
2 RepliesCopy is a strong word, I don't like how they added so many things similar to Destiny, Definitely these ideas where influenced by Destiny somehow..but I'd say copy is a pretty strong word.
-
5 RepliesThis is treyarch's calling card. They pull everyone else's ideas together kinda half assed add piss poor graphics and hit detection and wah lah a video game turd casserole is born. So let's just call this titan destiny the moba and call it a day.
-
18 RepliesThey ran out of creativity, last Solid CoD game was MW2
-
Copying titanfall more imo.
-
Vonderhaar stated that he enjoys destiny and wanted to incorporate elements from destiny to black ops 3
-
3 RepliesBecause Activision helped both games most likely.
-
1 ReplyCod has been copying for a while now
-
2 RepliesLmao, pretty sure Destiny started development before 2013.
-
Because that's what CoD much like apple does.
-
Well considering that cod is a broken franchise, that feeds on every last bit of money, I'm not surprised
-
Dude fist of havoc is like jax on mortal combat 2 on Sega genesis...golden gun was first done by 007 golden eye on Nintendo 64 self res is on a number of mmo games from early 2000$ and late 1990$ ....there not be and if anything destiny stole the ideas from earlier games
-
16 RepliesI've played the beta and it feels nothing like AW but people have opinions, and the reason why bo3 seems like and has some destiny elements its because Activision made both games. BO3 is a good game to me and I've played COD since mw2
-
2 RepliesYeah, so did advanced warfare. Exotics, green, blue and purple quality guns? Where have I seen that before?
