Allow Destiny to evolve, stop moaning
Why are people moaning about certain exotics becoming irrelevant when TTK drops?
The game is evolving. wtf is the point of playing with a gjallahorn for the next 10 years? Is that not boring?
Dare i say, suggestions to keep existing exotics/legendaries current is a stupid idea.
This is what you sound like: "Hey Bungie keep everything current for like forever, ok ty, we love you"
And here is what Bungie will think: "Oh well, lets get rid of the dev department working on all these exiting guns and keep feeding the community with year 1 guns for the lifecycle of the game"
I mean, really?
You dont use CE/VoG/PoE/TTK guns all at the same time... You pick a set of guns and you stick with them.
Let the game evolve, shit.
Edit: Dont know how many of you have been through that, but i was a forever 29, loved the first ever run through VoG and enjoyed obtaining all the weapons from both raids....but as the saying goes "been there, done that". I want to relieve those same experiences with the same excitement as i had when i first started to play this game and I hope i will when TTK drops.
As i understand if you keep the current exotics/legendaries current then i wont give a shit about any new weapons because I got my MIDA/Gjallahorn/"Insert favorite current exotic/legendary" already taking up the slots. I find that boring, im sorry.
Edit: This is how it should have been as far as i understand, VoG guns/armour for VoG timeline, CE guns/armour for CE timeline, HoW guns/armour for HoW timeline. Nevertheless, the community couldn't let go of their favourite guns so Bungie allowed to carry all guns forward. Was it ever meant to be like that? I don't know. Regardless, we can all use whatever we want in crucible/strikes/missions, however end game content should be fought with end game weapons/armour otherwise what is the point of end game gear?

I agree completely. There's so many babies in this thread acting like they give a shit about any weapon other than Gjally. You'll still be able to use it if you want, it's not like they're deleting it from the game. Use Gjally forever scrubs. I'll be using Sleeper Simulant.

Imo all exotics should remain relevant for ever. Why else would you call it exotic then? These perks are not that good/rare. Add to that, bungie stated they want us to choose our gear. What they are doing now is choose for us wat gear we will have. They give you a room full of weapons, then say you get to pick any of them. and when you do, oh no not that one, only these 5. Don't get me wrong, i absolutly love this game and like the majority of the changes. But man o man, they've made 3 dlc's and in every one they've made MAJOR f-ups.

5 RepliesNobody is against letting the game evolve. Your argument is weak. Bungie themselves claimed exotics were special and would move forward with us. Exotics are unique weapons at the center of many builds. You claim restricting these exotics would allow the game to evolve but that is false. If anything it hurts the game by limiting diversity. You claim it's boring to use the same weapons but that is the choice that should fall on the players. After all it is up to the devs to create something interesting enough for us to pursue and use. Your claim only says that the new weapons will be shit in comparison to our old ones so nobody would use them. In the end not everyone is of the same opinion. I myself thought the exotics would always be with us due to What was said earlier but it does not bother me. I'll find new builds and weapons that cater to my style. I was never reliant on any one weapon anyway and like to change it up.

If i took a elephants tusks, a tigers claws, a crocodiles teeth, a porcupines pines etc. Theyd have no weapons. Im pretty sure they would [b]De[/b]volve at that point.

I remember when I played mmorpg's. I loved my +1 ball scratcher. But as I leveled up and new expansions came out I found a +5 ball scratcher with magic fingers. It's so much better than my year 1 ball scratcher.

8 RepliesThats YOUR preference, mine wouls be to keep all legendaries and exotics throughout destiny, to actually build stories using them. I would like it to evolve that way, and not use some meaningless vanguard weapon I pick up every dlc.

3 RepliesSorry if that is what the game were doing then it would involve NATURAL selection. Better items come along and are chosen over the less favorable old items. Since they can't do that they are simply eliminating any competition from older items so they can lure everyone into another 3 month grind cycle. I know my post isn't as long as yours but I think the point is made.

2 RepliesSo think about this from a new players point of view. You level to 20 you don't bother with vog or crota because 1. the armour is only useful in the raid and 2.don't bother with Poe because nothing good there. 3. At level 25 you start the ttk missions. So even if you got an exotic once you hit 25 it's gonna lose its effectiveness to blues and purple after only using it for 5 levels.

I think they should revamp the old raid gear and make it drop exclusively on a new difficulty (like level 41 raid or PoE). That way if you want the old gear (which won't be good in year 2), you can grab friends and do the old levels. If you want the new gear you'll have to do the new difficulty. This way, the old end game doesn't become... Well... Meaningless

If it's true that my hard light my love my strength my favorite real auto rifle can't upgrade damage to ttk level then I'm a bit upset it was getting this better buff for it and crusible was being more balached soon in wanted to take it in competitive trials and iron banner but if it can't do the damage then why buff it at all
