I've been waiting to let loose the Ulysses, or at least one of the battleships...
If we let loose a 'pleted uranium rod towards the coastline, how far would the damage extend? Because I have somewhat of an idea.
-
Twenty five square miles is taking immense damage. Most standing structures are going down.
-
Alright. Redact the usage of the railgun. Say we downgrade to the 16in cannons, perhaps even lower. What's the damage probability then?
-
Maybe a block or so of severe damage, per shot.
Extending past the coast or on the coast? Well, I guess it won't matter if most of those Cultists are fighting each other in that area. Round 'em up close enough to take the majority out.
-
Of course, we could get a squadron of jets airborne, and minimize damage, but that's risky if the cultists have their hands on anti-air weaponry. We've also got the cruise missiles on standby, with about the same power as the 16 in guns.
With zealots like those, anything should be expected. Cruise missiles and the cannons are our best bet. Taking down a squad of jets is one thing; taking down a whole battleship is another. The only problem would be not scaring the targets off with the sight of our ships.

Really considering the usage of the Advanced Warfare camo carrier. Shoot me now.
Blackjack laughs. The city almost totally obscures the ships. We're far enough away they'd not see it coming, unless they happen to be on the coastline, in which case they'd still be confused until they took a hit.
