Umm... Just about every Legendary i've ever loved will be obsolete come TTK?
Well, WTF happened to the Etheric Light idea?
I spent an entire actual, literal year building an arsenal perfectly tailored to the way i play. I chased, grinded hard and even fell in love with a few guns. Now the time spent building that arsenal has become pointless.
Many of you may say that you are bored with the guns you have and its good they are nerfing the old weapons. Well, don't put that on the whole community, man! Just put YOUR old guns down voluntarily and pick up some cool new ones for awhile! This way you could always come back to them later. This way you help everyone, by exercising some will power.
It just feels like i worked to build a house over time and now that its finished all the sudden the govt comes around and says "we are bulldozing this whole part of town in a month" And i'm like dude, won't that piss off the rest the the community? And as it seems the community is totally fine with having to rebuild what they have worked so hard to accomplish... Its crazy!
Is all my hard work for all those weapons going to amount to nothing in a handful of weeks?... Seriously?
Even most Exotics arent coming with us, i mean, holy shit!

What about your Fatebringer, your VoC, your GALLY(yes, its becoming obsolete!)
I seriously won't even think about getting TTK if this is the case. Everybody loved the Etheric Light idea!([b]FOR WEAPONS[/b]) Why would Bungie scrap it? I mean, i was there pre-HoW, everyone was estatic to hear that ANY gun or armor piece could be maxed! We loved that.

I know isnt it awesome!? Finally new stuff for us to play with, and we can get rid of the trash we have in the vault. Its all been the same! Arent you bored? Do you really want to smuse the same crap for 10 years? If you do, you suck haha. No offense bud but, come on man. Thats kind of the point, new things to be excited for. I cant wait to scrap 90% of the sewage I have in my vault. Including voc and fatebringer.

Figure out what you like. And build again, for me it's: mid damage handcannons, high rof scouts for pvp, low rof scouts for PVE highest impact snipers, shotguns, fusion rifles, and machine guns.

5 RepliesIkr I got fatebringer not too long ago. I grinded sooooo hard for it every week ran hard vog on all my characters. I ran it probably over 40 times. When it FINALLY dropped I was so exited I dropped my controller ran outside and jumped into my pool. Now that's literally nothing. So many hours gone to waste and nothing to show. Not even getting ttk

13 RepliesIt is an fps/rpg/mmo hybrid taking aspects from all the game types. Having your old gear become worse than new gear is the aspect of the game. Most people who come from these games knew this from day one and are perfectly fine with it.

1 ReplyI can understand your point but as a whole, its better for the community and longevity for new weapons and gear to be strived for. Yes I too will miss a few weapons, but at this point a year later its time for new gear.

They are year 1 guns maxed to year 1 levels. And they should stay that way. They will be just as good in normal crucible just not pve

It does make it harder to become invested when they jerk the gameplay system around so much. I wish they'd make a good system and stick to it, rather than change things around reactively every update. They tested reforging out in IB; then they added reforging for most purples. Now it's not popular anymore for the new (i.e. relevant) stuff? Grow with the weapon you want. Use etheric light to upgrade stuff. No wait, we didn't mean it. Thanks for playing, but now you will acquire randomly spec'd weapons this way. I know I will love the expansion, and I am looking forward to the new stuff, and I will play the hell out of it. But is it really possible that the designers don't see how ridiculously wishy washy these changes are?

You only need so many weapons. I was wondering months ago how they were going to pry fate bringer and Ghorn from my hands to make me buy new things. Now I know.

2 RepliesI'm not sure why they are making all legendaries obsolete. They should leave behind raid primaries so that people have to earn the new elemental primaries, but not all the legendaries should be left imo
