I'm a solid follower of Dead Orbit.. We can't sit behind our walls and sulk... Let's go out to space and fight the good fight!
Many think Dead orbit is running away?
Who trains guardians to take back lost territory in the crucible? ...... Dead Orbit.
Who builds a fleet of ships for humanity? ..... Dead Orbit
Who found the satellite on earth that would communicate with other worlds and send Rasputin out to aid us in the fight? ..... Dead Orbit.
I have no beef with the other factions... I think they are great. That's why they are included in this poll, but waiting behind a wall under the traveller...doing nothing... Is suicide.
Are we building a fleet so people can escape?.... Well yes..But it's not for us guardians... No our fate is sealed... That's why our armor says that we are not going to survive. But the innocent civilians who the fleet is for.. They stand a chance, countless lives were lost at the twilight gap and the battle of the six fronts.... Just look at the bones that now decorate the house of Devils lair.... Those unable to escape war...Did they deserve that? If you think innocent people are cowards.... Then you really aren't a guardian, because guardians look out for the people.
It will be cold and harrowing.... And we may not survive... But it must be done
The guardians of dead orbit aren't going anywhere.... We are here for war.

The fleet are for civilians.
FWC is right war is on its way.... And a war zone is no place for the people who can't defend themselves.
During the battle of the Twilight Gap we lost a lot of territory.. We can't risk the lives of innocent people in the next great battle.
Part of the acceptance of FWC was during the Consensus when the Speaker was anxious to take back that ground lost.
If you are worried about other factions, worry about Lysander and the Concordat.

I have 1 character per faction, DO just happens to be on my main. rank 41 with them, got the exotic mark, all shaders and the new TTK ship. I actually like the armor style of DO better then the other factions on my Titan.

I am a member of FWC and honestly if people want to leave they should be allowed to do so. The war that's here is already scarring the world even more than what it has been already. The war that's coming is even worse, things are not getting better nor will they no time soon. Brace yourselves war is coming and in the coming storm there is no safe haven.

Well I first chose to join because on day one of destiny I saw the armor colors, I didn't even know that factions had shaders back then

1 ReplyDead orbit does not take back areas. They are just following in the wake of the guardian you play as in the story mode. You apparently are the only guardian who understands which way your weapon needs to point outside the city, single handedly carving a path though the enemies that plague the planets. I mean come on. You were the first to set foot on mars in years, punched holes in everyone plans. Dead orbit should just praise you for this. bu they think you still need to earn their respect. Out of the way nobles. Peasant coming through. After I mop up this area of enemies for you to reclaim I'll pull your cart for you. I know how delicate your nobleman's hands are.

1 ReplyDead orbit: awoken, angsty, goes with their dark views of life. Future war cult: exo, therefore has no concept of the value of life, explains their attraction to war. New monarchy: human, they prefer to worry about their own lives, and to make things better in their own city. (This is based off of each "spokesperson" for the faction. I am with dead orbit)

1) I caught on to the "undead space knight" subtheme regarding our Guardians pretty early on, so the morbidity of the faction seemed appropriate 2) If I had to align with a faction based on ideology, it would be DO or FWC. NM sounds good until you get to their last belief. No king for me. 3) Until a good Star Wars game comes out, Destiny is my sci-fi escapism. So I always try to make my Hunter look like a cross between a Jedi and a Stormtrooper. One of the original DO armor sets looked just like a Clone Trooper. 4) DO is the only faction that actually contributes to the story at this point. (Mission: the Array.) 5) Shaders bruh. 6) I like the dude who does the voice for Arach Jallal. I can never remember his name, but he was Satan in "Constantine," and one of the German nihilists in "Big Lebowski." Cool dude.

Okay so this is to everyone who is saying that DO are a bunch of cowards who want to run away... Eliksini use to be like us. Protected by the Traveller. Then they had their Collapse and all Eliksini died. "But how are there fallen now?" Good question Timmy. These "Fallen" we see are those who had ships and a fleet. Those who were "cowards" are the only ones who survived. We might be okay right now, but it is always good to have a backup plan.
