I'm an engineer for an automotive electronics manufacturer. Doesn't mean squat on here. Now is it true that air traffic controllers have the highest suicide rate? I know they used to, but was wondering if the stat stayed the same or if there was a decline?

Edited by nAhtA: 8/18/2015 5:03:55 AMIt's always been high but I don't think it's #1 anymore. Its strange but I heard Dentists have a higher %, and since 9/11 some military jobs are up there as well. I did the same job in the Air Force before I joined the FAA to basically do the same job but get paid more. Your on psn so send me a FR if you'd like.

Cool for you. I was navy myself, and went back to school to do what I do now. It really is sad the way that vets get treated when coming back these days although it hasn't changed much in the last 60 years or so. You would think that you would want the people that you trained to be killers to be as stable as possible when returning to civilian life right, not leave them out in the cold to fend for themselves with little to no resources.

We've come a long way from the way Vietnam vet's were treated. Everyone was amped up after 9/11, but eventually people move on. Unless they see it first hand they will not understand what some vet's have gone through. I was able to transfer my skills to the civilian side, but there are many who are thrown to the wolves once they get out.

Edited by thearchaic1: 8/18/2015 6:05:35 AMI hear that. Fortunately I work for a company that gives vets preferential treatment when hiring. We have quite a few. Which account do you play on the most? I wouldn't mind picking up some pointers for pvp.
