This is my opinion: Have you even seen one friend with a girl character when he's a guy? I have plenty of time I don't understand it.
I always thought they where going to gap to it later or something.
For me it doesn't feel comfortable with haveing a girl character. By having a girl character it's basically saying that's you in a girl forum. I wanna be a dude like an male exo as me I would look cool. Male Human ya I would look cool. Male awoken us I would look cool.
Also the female dance moves makes it look like there in a strip club beside that my friend keeps twerking on me. Like come on man.
Any comments?

I only have a female because I let my sister make a character and she stopped playing, so took it over.

Some just prefer it. I even have 1 female out of the 3 characters I have. You wouldn't avoid playing a game where the person you play as is a female would you?

My main (Warlock) is a guy, modeled after myself My Titan is a guy modeled after my son And my Hunter is a girl, modeled after my wife. If this game was like some others and the hit boxes on the females were smaller, all of my characters would be girls... I'd just do like a Charlie's Angels theme

My main is a dude but my secondary is a dudette because my oldest daughter sometimes likes to play destiny and do patrol so when I made a secondary character I made a female one. I use that character every week for nightfalls and bounties but mostly I use the main cause its a dude.

Most of the replies to this post are sadly very immature. OP raised a valid point and didn't demean anyone or called them out. Curiosity is fine, it's the first step to understanding other point of views. Yet the replies here are the things that prevent progress from being made.

The abundance of......errrr......"promiscuous" women these days means that more and more estrogen is getting into the water supply, since it's relatively difficult to filter out. This means that most young men these days have essentially been raised with a consistent, abnormal dose of estrogen. They're not really men, and they're not really women. They're something in between. It changes their emotions, makes them whine, causes them to store excess fat and develop breasts, and some of them start to see themselves as women. These are the ones who pick female avatars in Destiny.

I do it because all the armor looks way to big on male characters, hunters in my opinion look better as males.

2 RepliesI don't see myself as my characters in games. I am just the observer. I give them a personality, which might not match my own, and make choices accordingly. You know, role play, as in playing a role other than yourself.
