This is my opinion: Have you even seen one friend with a girl character when he's a guy? I have plenty of time I don't understand it.
I always thought they where going to gap to it later or something.
For me it doesn't feel comfortable with haveing a girl character. By having a girl character it's basically saying that's you in a girl forum. I wanna be a dude like an male exo as me I would look cool. Male Human ya I would look cool. Male awoken us I would look cool.
Also the female dance moves makes it look like there in a strip club beside that my friend keeps twerking on me. Like come on man.
Any comments?

I play a female Titan because the male one looks like an overweight piece of shit! Too bulky.

9 RepliesI've been gaming with dude characters for a decade...I want variety. Beyond that, why would I possibly care about a painfully small population of people who decide it's their job to judge me based on their own established rule that a girl character is supposed to be the girl form of me. That's your own rule, so your issue with that is entirely your own problem, not mine.

7 RepliesA male gamer here.... For me it's about role-playing the character and not the character being an extension of me in a video game. (that would be boring) When I look at the Hunter class - to me it fits the concept that my character is an Awoken female - where as my Titan is a Human male and my Warlock is an Exo male [And why does the Exo have gender?? That in my opinion is a little more disconcerting.] The reason why I chose a female Awoken was as a hunter - it's about being quick and agile and what Bungie presents as the body for the Awoken male just doesn't fit my vision of a hunter. It's no different when I'm playing a game that has a female protagonist Speaking of which - I wonder how many people had their minds blown when it was reveled that Samus Aran was female... As for me, I have no issues with anyone that chooses to play the opposite sex of a video game character than they are in real life.

I feel like a female hunter just kinda fits more. I don't really know how to explain it.

The real questions is whether or not Bruce Jenner deleted his male characters and started over.... If they were male to begin with.

3 RepliesI play the logical choice, a male exo. I'd rather be a machine built for war raised from the dead then a biological being decaying as I fight for The Great White Necromancer. But in Skyrim, I play as a hot High Elf Blonde Female.

There's two players Those who hate their life and want to pretend to be the in game character to escape. They want to be that person And players who view the character as that, just a character in an "interactive movie" They don't identify with the character, they don't pretend to be the character.

6 RepliesEdited by RedPhotog: 8/17/2015 9:22:37 PMI'm a man, and I have a female warlock, and she's darker than the darkness itself, a true witch. Does that mean I want to be a woman on an Internet forum? Want to know what I think? I think you made this post because you are confused in the fact that sexually comfortable guardians are creating characters based off of freedom, and not gender. You need assistance with this logic because you cannot grasp the fact that a man can comfortably play as a female guardian while being secure with his sexuality. Why isn't this discussion for women too? Women gamers are playing male roles all the time. Why don't I ever see a tired archaic thread from some insecure person regarding the female gamers playing male characters? Seriously though? How insecure does one have to be in life, in order to exchange on an Internet forum about strangers playing as the opposite gender of themselves? Get a life dude. Or come out of the closet. Truth sets everything free, including yourself.

I would only consider a female exo character cuz the dance moves are pretty badass lol but I do get confused when dude have 3 female characters... makes ya wonder

I have a female Hunter character. But only because my daughter started it, got to lvl 12, and stopped playing. I have a titan and a WArlock, so I finished leveling it up. It's now 34. I wouldn't have started from lvl o for a third character otherwise. I'm fine with it, it's been fun leveling and outfitting a new character

Dude it's a game not real life who cares who plays who.

6 RepliesI am getting a ps4 when ttk comes out and already have 2 males and 1 female character on my xbone. My characters on ps4 will be the opposite of what I have on xbone. So I will have 2 females and 1 male on ps4. This way I have all options covered.

Every time someone makes a post asking "Why guys choose female characters?" It just tells me that they are not comfortable in their own sexuality. It is just a game that gives you choices. What does it matter if you choose to play it as a male or female. It does not define who you are in real life. Its Just A Game! It's your choice and you choose it for whatever reasons....who cares?Just enjoy the game:)

so you think the guy characters look cool. do you always take that much interest in guy characters? not that theres anything wrong with that.

Some guy on my friends list has 3 female characters

It's a f***** game. Get the f*** over it.

Female Shepherd sounds better in Mass Effect The female Awoken have the best emotes in Destiny It's more fun to play dress-up with a female character.

1 ReplyOh god.....not another one of these posts....

I have 1 female character, my Warlock. I did it just to hear her scream when she dies. If you have an ex-wife, you probably understand my reasoning. I've played other games where female characters had smaller hitboxes, so I could understand characters created using that logic.
-
If you don't make a girl character then you don't get the grimoire card for females.
-
Play Tomb Raider or Wet. Are you uncomfortable as a female character? I have a female Titan to diversify my characters, to make my Titan less bulky, and sadly because I like giving them back stories.
-
"I can't type gud...when you pint it out it makes me happy!" <--- says a dude who cries on the inside but covers it up. how would people saying "hey, you have a problem: you're not up to the generally accepted standard of normal language conventions and it makes it hard to understand what you're saying...also people may think you're dumb" somehow "feed" you? feed you what? do you even know what you mean?
-
Why be awoken in a game when you're clearly human in real life?

All the male models in Destiny are bulky. Seriously, these guys are beefcakes and there is no option to change that. I generally like to create my character with the same body proportions as myself, and the skinny models belong to the female characters. Plus I think the female faces are way better than the male ones. It's just preference, and the female Exo dance is the best by far. It's a robot doing the robot for crying out loud.
