10 RepliesThe thing is there are plenty of players who have worked as hard as you did. They haven't gotten it yet. The rng doesn't reward equal work with equal rewards. Them buying the Gjallahorn doesn't make your grind meaningless either. [i][u]Because[/u][/i] you did the grind. I'm guessing you made friends. Had fun. Did a lot of cool stuff. The Gjallahorn wasn't the reward. The experience was. Just a thought for a penny.

I've wanted Hawkmoon since day one...I recently just got it, but next month Xur might sell it. Will I be salty that I had to wait nearly a year for RNG to bless me and then Xur sells it to a day one TTK player? Nope. If you want to feel special then I suggest you go clean trash at beaches, recycle or do some community service. I've signed my death warrant either way, flamers descend upon me!

They have purposely given it to everyone before the Taken King so that it evens up the playing field there was no randomness about it. Now it's just anther weapon and that is what Bungie wanted. Bigger and better weapons to come.

Luckily I had a friend go on my account though. The worst part about it was that I was at my aunts house with no wifi and I was walking down the street where I luckily got wifi to find that out. I was waiting since the second week of destiny for this day. I had the game since day 1 and I didn't think the Gjallarhorn was a good weapon so I refused to buy it on the second week of launch. I regretted that and now life gave me a second chance and I got it.
